He asked for metrics at the beginning, which I totally understand is incredibly difficult to accrue, I can tell you anecdotally that you’ve improved my win rate. I was playing about 400 hrs a year live for about 5 years with a win rate of 2 to 3 bb/hr on average, but last year I really started to study and implement your teachings ie through your books and videos. My win rate for the past 600 hrs is roughly 8bb/ hr. Thank You

Jungle, I saw you at the WSOP in 2020 in your Captain Sparrow costume, and really wanted a picture, but I was a bit fangirl overwhelmed by all the big-name players around me. I enjoy your "stage presence, " personality, and expertise. I've been working for Jonathan for four years (I sought him out, by having Justin Saliba coach me for a year, and I thought I could help as an intern) and it's been fabulous. I love all things poker.

i learned on a book by bill burton it was easy to read and understand- it had an arrow chart- i had it memorized fair good> tens jak, nines and tens- i recall that most people did not play some hierarchy of hands- i recall that i had enough trouble memorizing one arrow chart and implementing- so then i see gto has huge amounts of different kinds of arrow charts and i think i have enough work- thats me bill burton arrow chart- i have "getting the edge on low limit texas hold em" next to me now- also sklansky- i havent read so much of "theory of poker" by sk but some like i recall how he talks about how to bet- i have another by sk "no limit hold em- theory and practice" sitting next that i only read the intro so far- ok? me? bills arrow chart?- what i want to do is start studying burton again- like read a lot of it- i aint doing low limit- and then merge that into studies w jon- come on jon i have lots of kids like phil etc- my name is gari im a compulsive gambler i like to get in deep it gets interesting

My dream way to learn would be like this ^^^. Seven players including a instructor. Players that fold hold their cards out of the way. when the hand is over you go by position and ask why the player did what they did. Small discussion pertaining to lessons, move to next hand. Real money, cash game.

Here's the biggest mistake & I'm surprised the cogent Mr. Little hasn't made an entire video of it: poker is 1% education & 99% execution. You really DON'T need to know that much to make money, but you have to apply what you know against sophisticated players who are trying to stop you. If you think playing as GTO as possible will make you a winner? Congratulations, you've mastered about half of that 1%. Good luck.

@@rayoconnor4413 it's so refreshing talking to people of your neurological tribe, so to speak. Just clear concrete verbal communication without worrying "how you're gonna come across" (or some sort of "good vibes" for neurotypical people with their non verbal communication, I guess). But yeah, double empathy in action. Good to see.

Jungle man obviously you are a highly rated poker player, very knowledgeable, etc. you have a nice conversational style in your interview, but interviews require preparation not winging it all the time example I’m guessing you haven’t even been to Johnathan‘s website even to look at it. get some basic ideas of what it is I’m not saying take the courses but at least have a little more knowledge because otherwise you’re gonna miss a lot of important points or a lot of things you would already have known and maybe wouldn’t need to askpreparation my friend that’s what a good interviewer does

Poker training courses are the primary financier of all poker content creation. Its literally the most obvious "how should I monetise this thing" answer. With Doug and Solve For Why it was even the reason they started creating content in the first place. This is a problem because nobody has an objective perspective on the actual value. Hell even your bought and paid for - the video includes your affiliate link. How are you supposed to ask critical questions when you make money for every person who joins? Most likely the advantage of studying is vastly, vastly overrated, since thats whats incentivised. It could have some value but does it really have the combined value people are putting into these things? Imo GTO is not that important to know if your trying to beat live low stakes games. It could also be streight up counter productive - I did a one month sub like six months ago and watched a bunch of videos and learned new concepts (even though I been playing for 15 years) but in game it kinda messed with what I had always been doing and not for the better overall. But alas we will never know, as nobody is incentiviced to tell us ;)

Skill IS minor variance IS king For most players. Only casino and sites owners and pppl doing content and sponsors make real big money. Less than 5 pourcent are lucky or Real genius to win AT this scam. But long run the game become less and less attractive. Nearrly impossible to make a leaving for most players. Its just the true. Skill make you think you can win by working your game , you buy stuff to learn and tout keep fate but in the end waisr of time and money for the most part.
