Stop Motion Review 023 - MP10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime (Toys R Us Exclusive)

sooooo glad to finally have a masterpiece Optimus Prime
These reviews take forever. but I still love doing them, they're more of like a hobby for me. This particular review is comprised of 1242 photos, a weekend of shooting, and 3 hours of editing
Story behind the rejection:
MoofySpaceJump, Masko and I went to Victoria BC one Saturday. We first stopped and parked in the mall on our way to a restaurant. On the way to the restaurant we popped in to the Toys R Us in the mall. We asked a clerk if they had masterpiece Optimus Prime, to which he said "yeah sorry, our shipments come Thursday, and they're usually gone within an hour, they're pretty popular"
so disappointed, we left for lunch. we all ate lunch and forth to the place we were originally going, Cherry Bomb Toys in which we got MoofySpaceJump his G1 Rumble. to which I asked about Mastermind Creations' Knight Morpher Commander. they had some on display, and the Shattered Glass one for sale (as exclusive and awesome as it is, i didn't want it) so we left
well touring around Victoria again, we spent some time in some malls, looked in some shops, bought my sister SuperNessTea a glass teapot and by the end of the day we found ourselves at the first mall once again
5 mins before closing we walked past Toys R Us again, so i said "meh, let's browse" so we walked in.
within 3 minutes, the clerk from earlier that day walked past us and said "Hey! you're the guys from earlier aren't you!?" (i was wearing my Samus in Optimus Prime colours RIPT t-shirt, Moofy wearing his Soundwave RIPT, and Masko wearing her Invader E.T. RIPT. we looked pretty identifiable = P) to which i said "yeah, why?"
he then replied "my co-worker pointed some Masterpiece Optimus Prime's just after you left, we keep them up high and in the wrong isle apparently to cut back on impulse buyers, did you still want a masterpiece Optimus Prime?"
and from there I think you can guess what happened = P
and MoofySpaceJump said browsing for the last 5 mins would've been pointless = P
Take that moofy! look who has a Masterpiece Optimus Prime now! HAHA!

After a whole trimester and a half, honour roll, a perfect constitution test, I finally got MP-10! And it came with the Vector Sigma key too. Odd that the day I get it, BBTS announced a re-release of the Takara MP-10

I run between 12-15 FPS depending how I'm feeling the day of recording. this particular review is 12 though for SFX, I use audacity to record my originals when i can, otherwise i download them off the net. from there I take the video and edit it along with my voice over in Adobe Premiere, and add in sound effects when necessary

Was my fav until MPP10 came along. It's by far the best TF ever made and it's 3rd party folks. If you don't have an MPP10, you may want to get it fast before there are none left. It's bigger, it's better and it's a show piece when people walk into my home.

It's a custom paint job. about 7 years ago i bought a 1/48 scale 1969 Dodge Charger R/T that I painted. But, I was 15 when I painted it, and I look at it now aaaaaand i think it needs a new coat. Make it look less sloppy = P

Actually the stands I'm the front of the trailer are actually the types of Stan's you're supposed to use on trailers when they are parked against a loading dock. They are trailer jack stands. So Optimus Prime's trailer meets OSHA standards.😁

I prefer the US release personally for colour. Although when it comes to roller and the trailer, I prefer MP10. but you're really buying it mainly for Prime, so I say the US release. and I wouldn't pay more than 150 for it after shipping

Unpopular opinion, apparently, but I still feel like MP-01/MP-04 is still more accurate to the cartoon, and I still adore mine. I concede that MP-10 is a better toy while MP-01/MP-04 is more like a poseable statue, but he's still more faithful in my opinion.

To be honest, I think the mp01 prime mold (takara version to be exact) is better. It may not come with a trailer and is a lot more expensive now, but I think the transformation is more enjoyable and it's much larger
