Best way to kill the piggy is focus fire and then the anti-nade when he's at half health. He may *still* live after that, but you'll have forced so many cooldowns (and maybe even a support ult) in doing so that it's a worthwhile trade and guarantees that the hog retreats temporarily and his team is without potential teamfight flipping cds for a few seconds.

I will say not as useful tip. Because not everyone is going to counter hog. Because yes, cds is part of the answer, but in actual combat, people need to understand that resources such as dps and support need to be taken out as well. Because I would say if you could avoid a tank or prevent hog from performing, then you are doing well.

The best counter to hog is dps and supports playing in the team. Doesnt matter if they go for the supports pocketing hog or just shoot at him while you're fighting, if you cant kill him, you can at least keep him in check

Or just killing the back line, Hog doesn’t have very good peel capabilities so you can easily go for the enemy supports and their isn’t much he can do unless he never misses a hook

best way i've personally dealt with hog to help out my tank is to just hop on bastion and semi dedicate myself to harrassing the sh*t out of the hog while stayin out of range of hook. even easier if he doesn't have his healers but enough pressure on the hog itself fast enough and he just dies

Lucio is a mobile hero and outside his aura boost for his healing or his speed, most of the times it’s better to just poke the enemy team, dive a mercy, make an ana waste a nade by going for her than just standing there healing 12hp/s. Lucio is a character that benefits from the fundamentals of a support hero (not just a healer) in OW: positioning, opportunity and aggression. Being aware of Chokes, rotations and duels will separate the good Lucios from the mediocre ones.

As far the tracer question is concerned one thing I try to say as a tracer main for dps and a tank main is- We can beat this strong individual player as a team. Try to make her play in my area of effect as a tank so that she can't get any value because what she wants to do is zone you. I might say some of the negative consequences of full peeling the enemy tracer. It kills the front line or at the least makes him lose all space for someone you probably won't kill. Tracer, ball, doom, and venture are all distraction heros that get value from distracting your team forcing cooldowns and separating the front line from the military pinch method/technique. So what you can do is force those characters who are usually strong duelist but weak against teamplay and cc to play in positions where they aren't dueling just you but your team. Change your positioning. If you are having your eyes down due to the sack pressure you are missing fact that the wr in the end zone is wide open. Oftenly, all roles face pressure but you need to maintain doing your roles responsibilities in order to get teammate help. Typically the dps should peel. Ask them to guard you or not flank. Or maybe position further up by your tank aka the character that denys space. I guarentee you the flanker/distraction character won't play there. If you have a hog stand in the trap. Bubble jiggle the shield...same thing you do if you play tank. You absolutely do not want to los your team to dps the tracer if you do that your entire team dies you lose front line and space and then the tracer kills you staggered later. Both supports can also peel heal eachother and don't be afraid to dmg them while maintaining your team responsibilities. Assume that you take isn't giving up space for a reason if you respect them and they've proved decent play in lobby.

Id add that this advice works with ball as well. Especially when youre the one tanking. I feel the frustration my teammates have when they're being constantly distracted and annoyed by ball. & Unfortunately as tank, i absolutely CANNOT turn around & give up the space im holding on the frontline, bc 1. It gives up space i was creating. 2. The enemy team can explode me as soon as i turn my back & 3. Theres not any tank that hard counters balls value. The only ones with the abilitys & cd's to either deny ball his value or kill him, is the dps & supp. Mei, reaper, junk (if youre good enough with focus fire & traps) ana can all find ways to burst ball down to kill or make him disengage. But instead of swapping, they complain to me that ball is too good when they dont realize that they are the ones getting 1v4'd & LOSING. Its not that ball is op, its just a skill issue imo.

As a dps a decent play against hog ofcourse is reaper but sojourn is really good against him too. His headbox is large so pepper him with left clicks and blast him with a full charged railgun. It at the very least will control his positioning. If he gets arrogant and still tries to push do it again and he will die.

Roadhog is actually an easier tank to kill than most. No armor makes him super squishy. He can go from full health to less than 25% health in the time it takes to cast his hook.

@SimpleLasagna As another Hog main, you are wrong about breather. What makes breather good is its 50% DR and 450 healing. The 50% DR counters the dps passive by a mile and allows a lot more heals to get through even with the 20% healing debuff. Take a breather is the second most overpowered tank ability in the game currently and it needs a nerf.

Especially if you’re in a situation where multiple people are shooting at you. You’ll simply remain stagnant and the breather will only become a purely dmg reduction tool. Which doesn’t work with hog since he needs to be able to recover some health. We already tried having lower than 50% reduction. It ruins Roadhog

Tanking is a competition of who has the better team. 6v6 with 3 supports with 5 second regen where tanks are reverted is the best solution. Too many off angling Omars with Elmer's timing used against bugs bunny. Tank needs a support doing that on them because it's their job to start the engagement and many have no option to disengage once committed. 3 supports would give the tank a higher probability of being healed and dps in medal ranks where mercy pockets hog while moira is in their back line. Mery would also get the help she needs keeping a player up who has the dps passive enabled.

Btw, everyone who does a unranked to GM game play is just a pathetic loser. They are already GM player and bully lower ranks. Ofc its easier when you are already a GM player - but if you have to improve because your skill isnt there yet, its not going to work. ignore those bullies. they barely have any good advise.

(HOT TAKE) NERF SOMBRA her invisibility is too oppressive and often times she targets and picks on one player and spawn kills. Doesn't help their team, just harasses one person. The invisibility needs to be seen from larger area or a timer. She can one shot anyone in the game and you have 0 chance to fight back. There is no counter play.
