I just want to share with you something - I hope you get it. In my former comment, I put up a picture of a bird which occupied our old nest in the roof of our house. She had sat on her eggs and she got young ones in her nest. She is worrying about them, she tries to make me chase her instead of letting me going to see her nest, protecting her little ones. I have seen their beaks already because her mother feeds them and sometimes they believe that their mother came - but it is just me. Her mother is able to make them to be silent, so not a sound I can catch around the nest. One day, they will learn to fly and go away... My mother told me, last time they learned to fly in a day and then didn't even come back. I remember when I was a child and swallows built a nest around our house, they taught their young ones to fly for a longer time what became a nice memory to us.

I totally agree. About one year ago I wrote down the order in my journal. I can't remember it. Our brain can pick up the order while listening or reading carefully. There's a lot to learn to get fluent. I don't want to waste time with studying rules . We have to listen carefully to get it into our brains. Your video reminds me of paying attention to this topic 🤗

I have just gotten over on your nice straightforward new video lesson - I probably I take your advice and I will not learn these order because perhaps I never could memorize it so much to be able to use it in a conversation. Hi. What order one should use when the adjectives belong to the same group? For example: a delicious beautiful cake a beautiful delicious cake Both delicious and beautiful are adjectives which express a personal opinion. a smooth thick fresh cucumber a fresh healthy thick cucumber a thick smooth fresh cucumber a thick fresh smooth cucumber a fresh thick smooth cucumber a fresh smooth thick cucumber Each of the three adjectives refers to quality. Thanks

@sirmeowthelibrarycat
@sirmeowthelibrarycat 4 жыл бұрын
Fleecy Sky 🤔 Hello, from another English teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have recently found your question. Here is my answer. A cucumber is a fruit that we can eat so use adjectives that refer to that purpose. ‘Fresh’ and ‘Healthy’ are both suitable adjectives in your example sentence. You could use ‘Delicious’ and ‘Tasty’ in a second sentence. The rest of the adjectives you suggest are not used in most fluent sentences, as they do not sound natural to our hearing. Kind regards from Mr Teacher 👨🏻‍🏫.

Fleecy Sky 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, from another English teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have just found your question. Here is my answer. Many adjectives in English are used in more than one group or category. That gives English a lot of flexibility and variety of use. As you become more familiar with English you will find that one adjective sounds better than another in your speech. Using two similar adjectives emphasises your sentence more strongly. A beautiful flower 🌷; a beautiful, scented flower 🌹. Kind regards from Mr Teacher 👨🏻‍🏫.

Gustav says "Es gibt kalte, Amerikanische Biere." (There are cold, American beers.) If it's cold, he thinks it's American because they drink it WARM (room temperature) in Germany and they're NOT using Louis Pasteur's 'pasteurization' process for storing dairy products, unless you can pasteurize something at room temperature; in America it would spoil in a warm environment. They keep their eggs and milk in a NON-cooled place and it never harms them but I'm afraid to try it. At the very least, I absolutely need to find out how they DO make it edible. I'm not that trusting when it comes to food. I have to know how they do it.

Thomas Felix 🤔 Hello, from another English teacher 👨🏻‍🏫 here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have just found your question. Here is my answer. (That) is (what it) is all about. That’s what it’s all about. They both refer to the MEANING of, or the REASON for, something. Usually it is only one of them at a time. Working long hours to earn a large salary - that’s what it’s all about. Working here is the meaning behind the large salary. Winning a race - that’s what it’s all about. The word ‘it’ here suggests the reason for competing in the race is all about winning.
