In Indonesia, nibble = nyemil hungry = lapar, starving = kelaparan, ravenous = rakus. bu we can’t say I’m feeling rakus, rakus is a noun. I love the way you explain all words.. thank you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

What's the point in saying that when the person doesn't understand what we say. Imagine a person on bed who did not eat for a couple of weeks and he whispers "I'm ravenous". The people don't understand him and he dies 😂

We also have something similar in Turkish .If you order too much food and people around you are sure that you won’t be able to finish it, they will say “God,let your eyes be full!” Great video btw:) Absolutely love it!!

In greek we say that we are very hungry like these: πεινάω σαν λύκος, λυσσάω της πείνας, πεθαίνω για λίγο φαγητό and when we are a little bit hungry we say: θέλω να τσιμπήσω κάτι, έχω μια λιγούρα 💕😂

It's funny because, in French, we've got the exact same expression about eyes bigger than bellies : "avoir les yeux plus gros que le ventre". It could be used in the same context, to say that you ate too much, but also when you've taken too much food and that you don't / can't finish your plate.

FYI to English learners. You basically won't ever hear anyone use "fancy" to indicate something you want in Canada or the United States. If you use that phrase, the meaning will be understood without a problem, just be aware that native US/Canadian English speakers really never use it themselves.
