Hi. Im from south africa. My otho surgeon suggested to remove my shoulder bursa as i have a sloping shoulder bone. Can the bursa grow back and do you recommend. Thanks collin

The bursa once removed does actually grow back. I had a distal clavicle resection where a subacromial decompression was done to reveal the AC joint. Part of this procedure and subacromial decompression is removing the bursa. My surgeon told me the bursa was removed, but a new one will grow back. One of New Zealands' top orthopedic surgeons might I add.​@Dr.Jacobs
