I have started vigorously following your exercise program and feel so much better , hardly any pain at night. I found your instructions exceedingly helpful and realise it’s all down to me to get my self better. Your video helps keep me motivated. I have finally got an appointment with a physio attached to my GP so feel well prepared and knowledgeable after following your KZbin . I have one frozen shoulder, which is in the unfreezing stage. When it was completely frozen, it would take me three hours just to take a shower and get dressed. I can't imagine having both shoulders frozen at the same time. I heard that after one heals, the other can become frozen. I have changed my evil ways by changing my diet and exercising. I've gotten about 60% range back. I'm going to do these exercises in this video to get more back.🤞

I was fifty when I had frozen shoulder, but I know that, for me, it was due to extreme stress at work. I recently injured my other shoulder, and find that icing with frequent stretches and simple exercises have been helping it heal surprisingly quickly, and I haven’t even been able to see a physiotherapist about it yet. I’m lucky that I used to do a lot of yoga, and so know how my body feels and can tell what is good or not, for it. I’m now seventy and not going to let a shoulder injury stop me.

Thank you Maryke, a really thorough tutorial. I’m a 44 year old nurse, with no related medical history but have been dealing with this issue for the past 3-4 months now. I’ve already had a cortisone injection into my glenohumeral joint and am continuing with physio at home. I’m going to have another injection in the next few weeks. I also have an orthopaedic consult booked for early next year. I believe my frozen shoulder was cause because of an initial bursitis, which I left unchecked an untreated for months. Needless to say lesson now learned. Cheryl - expat watching in Australia

Easily the most comprehensive breakdown on frozen shoulder that I have come across and I have seen hours of footage. It all makes sense now that I have been through much of it. Despite initially being treated by a Physio I ended up achieving better results, faster by spending hours increasing range of motion at home using a 2.5kg plate, dyna bands and a hard ball to release spasmed muscles. Everything you said resonated with me. Especially that it will not come right on its own. I stopped my exercises for 4-5 months and if anything, my shoulder regressed in every respect. Mobility, range, strength and pain. If only I had found your video in the freezing stage sooner. I’m now down to the last stubborn extreme ranges of motion (arm straight up and overhead and all the way down to behind the back). I have also started strength training which is proving to be a welcoming challenge. Lots of stretching… Thanks so much for your video and for all of those suffering with this condition, persevere, “embrace the pain” (not acute pain) and gain strength from the gains you see in range of pain free motion.

This video literally saved me from months of pain. As soon as you said it’s caused by an auto-immune reaction I knew what had to be done. I’ve heard of people curing auto-immune disorders through fasting so I immediately started a water fast the day after watching your video. Truth is I was in so much much pain and discomfort that I wasn’t really hungry anyway. And I was desperate for anything that might help. I’m 42 and I have a 3 year old little girl. The thought of not being able to pick her up or play with her for months or more than a year was just as painful as my shoulder. So I started the water only fast without knowing knowing how long it needed to go or if it would even work. However, I saw and felt results almost immediately. After the first day the inflammation in my shoulder decreased a lot. I was still in a lot of pain but this was a good sign. After the second day the inflammation was completely gone! I still felt some pain in my shoulder but I was also gaining back some range of motion. After day 3 the pain was almost completely gone! I was still lacking range of motion but I could move my arm in several directions without that sharp pain I was used to feeling. I could have stopped there but I wasn’t really hungry and wanted to see how far I could go. After day 4 of the water only fast I could carefully pick up my daughter without pain. I was blown away at how fast I was recovering. I decided to go one more day for a total of 5 days without food, just water. I felt incredible. I lost about 12 lbs (about 6 of those were gained back in the week or so) but all of my pain had gone away and I had regained about 90-95% of my range of motion back! I’m currently working with a physical therapist to build back strength in that shoulder and get that last bit of range back. To be clear, I basically healed my frozen shoulder within 10 days of being diagnosed. 5 days of excruciating pain followed by 5 days of fasting. It was that simple. Thank you so much for your video and sharing your expertise. It literally saved me!

I am totally pain free and have full range of motion back. I’m going to keep working with the PT to add strength to my shoulder and back. I still get a little twinge in my shoulder if I put too much weight or pressure on it. But other than that I’m basically fully healed. Thanks for asking and I hope you feel better soon too. Let me know if fasting helped you because if it did, more people with frozen shoulder should know about it.

@@richie99999so I ended up doing a 48 hrs fast(Frozen shoulder started last week Friday evening) I went to the Chiro on Tuesday-Very very inflamed and just in so much pain. I started fasting that evening and just now broke my fast. I also went to the Dr today (Thursday)and she was SO impressed with my progress! I did a lot of exercises but honestly i think that this 48 hrs fast helped A LOT Went from 30(Tuesday)to 90% motion range when she pulled my arm today. I couldn’t do 3 days because I was so shattered mentally. I will do another one next week though ☺️☺️ Thank you so much for your post! It was all because of you that I decided to fast

I'm in a similar situation. Took months for NHS doc (only the second one was trained to do this) to give HC injection, unguided after an x-ray, the results of which took weeks to "come back" and which was painful. It must have hit a bone and I jumped, but, as usual, the "fault" for jumping was mine!!! After that, my already lessening pain went into overdrive until I went for acupuncture. Neither the NHS, nor the Nuffield physio were able to do anything for me. In fact, the Nuffield (private insurance) decided to wait for the NHS x-ray to come back before they did anything. The only arsenal, it seemed, the Nuffield physio had was exercise and there was no way that was happening with the amount of pain. I had to fork out for the amount to be paid to the nice, but useless Nuffield physio and then spend a lot of money on uncovered acupuncture, which really helped with the pain. This time, I'm going directly to acupuncture and can't wait for my first session. I watched all the videos about exercises and even looked into the brutal procedure under local, which was not done in this country at all, but I'm glad I did none of them. It took a long time, but my movement came back all on its own to almost what it had been before. I'm not far off 59 and still wonder if another HC injection would help, but the hassle trying to get that through the NHS really puts me off. The whole system is being deliberately collapsed. The reason I was given that it could take up to 6 weeks for the results of one measly x-ray was that there was no longer anyone to read them in-house and they were being sent around the globe (presumably, digitally - is this a breach of our GDPR laws, I wonder?) to non-NHS people to read them. I wonder just how much this is actually costing us in the UK? This is a seriously debilitating condition and the situation as it is now is unacceptable. We are now in a Third World position, where, if you can't afford to seek the treatment best for you, it's your tough luck. I strongly suspect THC cannabis would be hugely beneficial for the pain, but the rabid naysayers for that need to have a period of extreme pain to change their minds on that! The very second it becomes legal, I'll be baking a Brownie or two!!!
@RadiantStar8997 Жыл бұрын

I have regained most of movement but not all . I’m 46 now and have a frozen shoulder in my right and it’s been going on for over 3 yrs . I’ve had several steroid injections , 3 hydrodilatations and 18 months of regular physio , arthroscopy with MUA and I’m still in severe pain with limited movement. It’s so disabling . The pain in my neck is awful too and I have severe secondary scapular winging . My surgeon said he could hardly cut the scaring as it was so thick and tight . I had an MRI of my shoulder last week so I’m waiting on the results . I know people say you should keep moving it but when this shoulder started a began physio and it didn’t stop the frozen shoulder progressing and getting worse . I’m so fed up and frustrated

My dog gone left shoulder had this problem, went to therapy, and was working the exercises at home, it was barely improving. Had a trip to Thailand planned so while visiting a resort decided to try one of those massage places on the beach. I picked the oldest women there thinking she was the most experienced, told her my problem. It was very painful but almost completely healed after 3 sessions. I did swim alot so that probably helped, I was impressed. After months of pain and limited range compared to three days with her. If I had two more seccions I'm confident it would have been 100% but had to leave Thailand. Several years later I just triggered the same shoulder, never use your shoulders to lean against anything. The first time was a wall, second was laying on my side working on my truck. I do know hard-core painful message by the right person works.

I would like to share my experience. During the pain phase, I did a poultice with green clay every night. I kept it all night and removed it in the morning. I did it for 2 months. The pain reduced a lot but, my shoulder remained painful. Then I had 2 shots with cortisone (1.5 months apart) and, I have no pain left unless I force. But, it did not help to recover mobility. To do the poultice, you must use clay in pieces and not clay in a tube already prepared with water (which is not effective). Montmorillonite is the best. First, put the clay in a glass or ceramic bowl (never put the clay in contact with metal). Cover it with water (1/2 cm above the clay). Wait 15 to 30 minutes for the clay to absorb the water. Do not stir the clay before. When it is ready, spread it on the shoulder in a thick layer (1 to 2 cm) with a wooden or plastic spatula. Cover it with 2 or 3 layers of compresses and maintain it by wrapping an old sheet or scarf around the arm. Tie a knot on the front of the arm.

As a competitive swimmer I had a few shoulder issues however about a year after bilateral mastectomies, I fell with left arm extended. OmG was so dam painful. Had the capsule ruptured under x ray. Was so much better. My sports md was great and I was back to 100% in 6-8 months. I was swimming in masters swimming in 8 months. Great video and information.

Thanks so much. Having had rotary cuff surgery on one arm. I am now wondering if a sport doctor would be advantageous in diagnosis the other arm, which has been frozen for some time.

I am having this shoulder pain for 7 months, but only recently i found out about frozen shoulder. The pain is now getting more intense now. I went through several videos on how to do exercise to treat frozen shoulder, by far your video is the most detailed and easy to follow. I am starting the exercise today. I will update here again after few months later on the progress. 🤗

Thank you!,I prayed for God to direct me down the right path. I started out with an a/c joint separation injury followed by tendinitis all while doing PT. Until my last session I had worsen. My PT referred me back to the specialist and said to let them know in her opinion evaluate me for “ frozen shoulder “ and request an injection. She began me on many of these exercises but I have to say your explanation sums up all of what I’m going through so thoroughly it gives me hope. And I am going to do them correctly now! I understand now all the reasons for these stretches/ exercises and phases and feel more confident I can get through this process. You explained this in a way that connected all the dots. Thank you once again ❤️🩹

Thank you for a thorough explanation and advice. I'm a 45 year old female, no trauma, but a desk job, suddenly got this 4 months ago. We thought it was a rotator cuff issue (spouse had that surgery a few years ago), and was relieved to learn from a doc that it was not. I never heard of frozen shoulder before. Your video is excellent, explaining what it is and what to do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

You are so good. I have been struggling with frozen shoulder for the last 3 years. I had tendon tear repaired successfully 9yrs ago. I had my first frozen shoulder. Then I had the injection you mentioned and with exercises I was doing well. Then 3yrs ago something set it up. With exercises to strengthening and stretches it is 75% better. But can’t get any better. I think I need to another injection you have mentioned. My doctor does not seems to know. I will ask him about it. Thank you for explaining very well. I do have some auto immune conditions.
