Met police was not stopped?. They spoke with hand signals. Seems like they was on a urgent not life threatening call. I was on a blue call with the London ambulance service and let through. If you see in the clip. Met was helping as they knew it would be a few mins max to wait.

The civilian IAM test is a very low standard compared to the training the SEG drivers get. Police Advanced (Class I) drivers are massively more highly skilled/trained and experienced, let alone the SEG who do additional VIP Protective Driving courses, on top of the National Protective Driving course. I am both a Class I police driver of 30 years experience, as well as a former examiner for the IAM. The IAM teaches the safe application of roadcraft in daily driving. The sort of driving Class I drivers do, is the safe application of roadcraft in extreme situations. Protective driving is not only the flawless application of these principles, but also the ability to recognise and react to potentially dangerous situations by the use of emergency, offensive or evasive use of the vehicle, to enable the safe extraction of the principal. I am sure that the King has undergone specific training in some aspects of this, but he would lack the experience to apply it safely.
