I can't take full credit! It was mentioned on reddit, so I tested it. 90% of the time, it is effective. Though, thay 10% leaves a slight possibility that it's just random. 🤔

Right?! I'm still shocked at how effective the shovel varnish really is, even with only one digging companion! Really makes it a breeze as long as you have the dreamlight and the vitalys crystals!

Same! The shovel varnish is the king of the potions. I don't care much for the pickaxe polish and the others. This one is clutch though!

I had to get a lot of clay when I made the Sunlit Plateau build! The pathing for that biome requires clay. I also needed a lot of clay for bricks thanks to all the fencing. I miss the good ol' days when you could buy unlimited bricks and stone from Kristoff. I'm lucky I bought so much stone from him before they nerfed it! Otherwise, I would have struggled to make all my brick roads! 😅

Learned that from chat a while back. I would stop and drink potions when they wore off, and some peeps were like, "DRINK THEM ALL. DO IT. IT'S GOOD FOR YOU." And you know me, I have great judgment and never give into peer pressure... who am I kidding... I slammed 5 potions and went on an earth-shattering shovel rampage.

I used this to help get lots of pebbles in the forgotten lands. Except for the rain lol

You'll get more pebbles in the Forest of Valor because it only drops pebbles and soil! Forgotten Lands will give you a much better mix, though! All three of the primary digging resources drop there!

How many level 10 digging companions do you have? I only have a couple and am wondering if I need more.

I used to have 4, but now I only have one! As long as I'm using the potions, I still get plenty of resources. Though, I did pull a good bit more with four, but one is still surprisingly effective!

How long did it take you to just ‘know’ which biome offered which resources?

To be honest, I thought I had it all figured out, but I was wrong about Frosted Heights! I thought it provided pebbles, soil, and snow. Though, it's just snow and soil! Luckily, I double-checked before making the video. In the "collection" tab under "foraging" tab you can find the digging resources. If you select them, it will show you what biomes provide them at the bottom of the screen!

When does clay respawn? Like, how long do I have to wait before digging the same area to get resources? Noob here lol.

That's a really really good question. I just always go dig in new spots until the next day. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe 5 minutes after the ground is patched... at least thats how long mining rocks take, so that's my best guess. Now that you mention it, I should have tested that and put it in the video! If you find out, let me know! I just know it's always good the next day! 😅
