On the quiz for question 2b-d, for leo a 2d wouldn’t work because he’s to high to avoid the 2p. Also his 2s has less range than his 2k and wouldn’t be able to reach. So for all the leo players out there, use 2k! Then sweep and set up oki with Hs projectile to get back turn stance or something like that

Forgive me if I missed it, but I think you forgot to mention 214K can be 6P'd if you anticipate it. In fact 6P generally beats her f.S and 5H as well, so if she's autopiloting her blockstring, just blow her up. She can counterplay this by stopping early at either c.S > 2S or c.S > 2S > 2/5H and then using a 2K or baiting a reaction, but the layer one is important to not let her play her abare mixups. Also most Gio's won't use the dash cancel off c.S or 5K since it's slower than a frame perfect dash after the first animation ends (which isn't hard thanks to the buffer system.) If I remember correctly c.S > dash c.S has a 5 frame gap minimum though, and c.S > dash 4/6D would be 8 minimum due to the no grab window after blockstun, so in both cases a mash is viable if you read it. Great video though! I actually learned a bit on the abare RPS after 214K so I'm really glad this info is getting out there!

6:13 You can't actually grab her if she delays f.S or 2S enough after C.S. It leaves her very safe even on Just block, but a 4 frame button can punish just fine. Plus, "wolf kick" (sepultura) isn't even a block string ender. 5H is. You can punish 5H with a just defend 4 frame option, but no grab. The reason people ended with sepultura last patch was due to the ability to smoke most options the opponent had for mashing. Which I will admit, was kinda brain dead. It still does that somewhat with the right timing, but it also catches pre-jump if you stagger it after 5H and also catches people mashing lows. Gio's pressure now is to mix you after 5H. If you try and mash 6p, she'll just dash up and counter poke or punish you with 2k depending on the speed at which she moves and how fast they press 6p. If you block 2k, you're put into a 33.35/33.35/33.35 (not exactly 100, but you get the idea) she'll continue pressure or go for grab. Both can be beaten by a reversal, but that's not advised if she learns to block it. Also, Gio can still fuzzy dash off of C.S without the sparks, making it harder to spot. I've already been timing it and catching people very off guard with it. 5k is just as easy to work around as well, but most people can expect it when they don't see a special or the dash sparks come out. She can condition you to mash after her close slash though. She can stagger another close slash and then continue her pressure, leaving herself fairly safe if she chooses to end it with 5H. All in all, her gameplan is to get you to stop mashing 6p and let her use specials to reset pressure until you start mashing 6p again. I've already practiced this before online and it works very well. Oh, and if you FD close slash, she can delay a 5H or sepultura and catch any button that isn't an anti-air or reversal. The timing's tight, but that's what the pros are gonna perfect... if they haven't dropped her from all the post patch downplaying. There's plenty of counterplay to be found here, as I've already found some myself. These videos will most likely need to be updated with time. Gio has the same game plan as last patch, but there are a few differences as to how she goes about it. Akaraien already said we were using 5% of the character before, so I'm hopeful she gets back to her old status soon instead of constant downplaying. I like this character and want to see her succeed so I can also steal some nasty stuff from top players. Another thing of note is that if 214S is TK'd it becomes unpunishable. The symbol needs to be halfway in the ground though. I hope this was all helpful, as I noticed some things in this video were outdated, but most of it is 100% correct. I give this a 9/10 for the amount of counter play in there, but I think you could've gone a bit deeper. Edit: 13:09 The super from that height is not +5. It's actually 0. It just depends on where she hits you with it.
