Thank you so much Will. Your free resource has been very impactful. I started using Ableton for live performances a year ago. And work with a big artiste from Nigeria and I have been able to use it on big stages around the world. We actually performed at the recently concluded FIFA fanfest in Qatar. I use arrangement view and everything I use on stage was learnt from you. Greeting all the way from Lagos,Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Hey Will, interesting Video, also Dave's story. But are you sure you uploaded the right video? It doesn't correspond to the title or jumpmarks/content?

Hey I took your advice and started using arrangement view to start running tracks. However in session view I was able to program my midi controller to launch a scene and worked Perfectly. I’m trying to figure out a way to do the same thing in arrangement view. Is there a way by triggering a marker while the play head is stopped to have for Ableton to play . I’m trying to avoid triggering a marker and having to Hit space bar. I’d love for the markers to behave the way scenes do in session view. Any insight?

I always run tracks in arrangement view. And to be honest, I prefer it in arrangement view. I use my novation Launchpad to trigger songs and also use a stop track(midi note) which automatically stops the track without hitting the space bar. Will has a material here that talks about using IAC driver to automatically stop track. I hope this helps.

I've been using ableton on stage for more than 10 years now (existentialism intensifies) and I never stopped learning really. I've changed the way i do my live sets like dozens of times and in doing so only got better in seeing solutions whenever you inevitably run into problems on the road or in rehearsals. Thinking on your feet is an essential skill to have as an aspiring touring musician or tech. Process of elimination, deductive reasoning, ghetto rigging a solution to make your bands call or whatever this all gets easier by just putting what you learn into practice. Oh and have redundancy for everything, even the most mundane foolproof component of your show. You wouldn't believe the sweat i've sweated because we didn't bring an extra usb hub or something stupid like that XD Anywhooooooooo

Makes a lot of sense. Ableton is an instrument. That explains a lot.
