The concept was originally designed for workplaces, for the convenience of being able to brew quickly without the mess. The inventor never intended them to be mass produced to the scale of them being everywhere mainly in homes.

@@michaelschemmel1984My dad just gave me one he doesn’t use. I used the cups he gave me, but they’re kind of expensive & I went through them pretty quick. I started using the provided cup & regular coffee, which makes me feel like I’m not flushing money away. Also, since it takes a bit longer to prepare, I’m less likely to make a cup of coffee that I don’t really want.

I was having extensive blood work done two years ago and K-Cups were the exact reason why my estrogen levels were extremely high with dirty estrogen. High levels of dirty estrogen can lead to breast cancer ovarian cancer and other nasty things nobody wants so think about the cosmetics you're using and putting on your skin every day and all the other plastic chemical concoctions. Might be part of the reason why we have women going into menopause and they're very early 30s. Hormone disruptors are no ones friend.

A typical brew takes a little over a minute. You’re telling me that hot water leeches phthalates within a minute? I don’t think so.
