I actually don't have enough words to show my gratitude .. but still I would try.. .. this was the first video came across my KZbin feed.. little more than a month ago.. my hair was so damaged and skin was too not in a healthy state .. cause of some reason I was not into taking care of my skin or hair for quite a few years.. and also I was not happy using chemical based products people generally use in this fast paced life.. it was making the things even worse.. so I was so much in need of right knowledge, about ancient practices .. of skin and hair care.. using ingredients available in nature.. around us.. and than I found your channel and felt like my search is over... I immediately order through the links given and started using it as soon as I received them... it is now almost a month using this wonderful natural shampoo ..and now I can see my hair is improving with every wash.. I do little modifications also now.. as I learned after watching so many video of yours... as shikakai dries the hair a bit.. I also add hibiscus powder equal to methiseed powder and also add a few drops of rosemary essential oil sometimes.. and I also skip shikakai when not oiled my hair... it feels so great.. and amazing to experience .. I have also tried bath powder, kadi leaf oil, amla serum, almond night cream... buttermilk with kadi leaf powder.. iddiyappam with stew.. drumstick soup.. 😃😊... these days for me KZbin is Wild Turmeric.. I still have to try a lot many recipes and I am sure.. they all gonna work... Thank You for doing what you are doing.. all your videos not only provide wonderful information but they are so soothing to watch.. and listen.. feels like meditation some times.. Usilampodi was the shampoo in our home forever. We used to get easily in Gandhi market area in Trichy. After moving to Chennai, we transitioned to shampoo mainly because of unavailability. I learnt that it is available in Paris Corner, have to buy in bulk. The problem is it gets bugs after few months like atta, so should buy fresh powder. We used to mix 3:1 ratio for the usilampodi and shikakai powder combo. Shikakai gives some grittiness. Otherwise it will be very slimy. Shikakai powder is good for body rubs not for hair.

Hi Naveena, when you mix the arappu, mix it to idli batter consistency. Spread it all over the hair and massage for a few seconds and wash it off. If it is too thick, you won't be able to massage it into the scalp resulting in sticky hair. It takes some getting used too, you can slightly increase the amount of shikakai a bit too
