Got a shark zs350 on clearance for $50 instead of like $150. A week later my grandparents get a crap $50 bissell after I mentioned how you need a hepa filter.

I've had the Shark Stratos Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum for a little over a year. It's amazing! Picked up imbedded dirt my other full size vacuum missed. Canister is small but worth having to empty often due to its power. And the cord is 30 feet long, so you can cover a lot of ground before replugging it in. Lightweight and works on all floor surfaces. And amazing on stairs.

I was recently gifted a Dyson V10 Cyclone Animal+ and it really changed the game, my carpet has never been cleaner, my old vacuums just didn't have enough suction.

Sorry to ask, but the gift was from family members? I can’t imagine someone not from family gifting a vacuum although it’s a great gift😁

Really interesting, but about the cost here it’s the interesting part about spares and the work to keep this appliance working. I’ll compare with the broom and a dust pan. You use this pair pick garbage (and a little dust, because part will fly) and then throw to the garbage can. There you have may be be once in a life you wash both. Go to a cordless. To keep it working every time you reach maximum throw the dust and garbage (here is different because some machines pick a big pieces like paper or food) then every six months some people wash the filters but to keep it working will be better to check often. So here spend in a couple of filters (if they are available) to have the others drying up. Then may be expensive or may be no and keep in mind that washing means if you don’t do that you have the machine broke means more money. Now bag machines let’s see same thing? Well some have an exhaust filter that could be washable some others no. Usually in the European brands this is color coded the blue ones are washable and the red disposable and the black had charcoal so those are disposable and you replace with color coded to have the same results. So bag cleaners requieres some spares and some work to do and those are need to be use but you don’t changed that often due to the new fleece bags. All this spares increases cost but reduces work. And you you don’t need to keep the machine clean (to be honest no one does because we prefer not to deal with dirty cleaners) so if the machine needs more work and you don’t have time to keep it working you will pay more money. So money and time to keep clean the house and with bagless machines the time to clean the machine.

Appreciate the comment. It's difficult for me to project long-term use other than filters, batteries and vacuum bags. Personally, I think a great way to go is with a bagged vacuum.

I’m hunting for a cordless vacuum for pet hair in carpets! I have a cat that loves chewing electrical cords 😢

Depends on budget. Dyson always does well, but the B+D in this video is a good budget option if you're ok with so-so filtration.

@@vacuumnerds i think I have a challenging home to vacuum- I rescue bunnies 🐰 Hay + fur seems to clog all my vacuums except shop vacs, but shop vacs don’t clean my carpet well. But, I just ordered the Kenmore Series 600 you recommended, I think it will work! The bags will help keep hay and fur contained. And the cord looks easy to hide away so my cat won’t chew it. Pets are so weird but we love them 😂 Thanks for your great videos on how to affordably own reliable vacuums ❤
