Great video guys! Good production, thorough review, and entertaining! I will say though that your hair test is not too aggressive. I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. kzbin.infoUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

Darn, I was eager to check out your link. I think an upright would be way too bulky for my needs. I really like the stick vacs. I have an old Dirt Devil upright and it has awesome suction for my deep pile carpets upstairs, but it's way too heavy for me and I can barely use it.

Love this! I literally laughed out loud when the Black and Decker sucked up the hair and that "Slurp" noise! 😂😂😂 FYI though....I recommend trying to suck up all that long hair again with the Stratos, then just put it on the highest suction for about 10-15 seconds and there will be no hair wrap left. It has to rotate to cut the hair then it suck it all in. Try it and let me know. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you do that, the hair will be gone!

I'm just looking at all the different Tineco models now - oh, boy, talk about too many choices! PS Just a personal request: if you do a comparison chart would you PLEASE include noise (at eco and max settings)? I have family members with special needs and loud or shrill vacuums are not welcome here! Haha. Thank you for responding to my comment and I look forward to watching your Tineco review in due course. :) Kenmore vacuums seem to get great reviews and do well on one-on-one comparison tests, but they never seem to figure in "Best of" videos. Glad to see you included the Black and Decker, though; a lot of other channels seem to ignore that, too, yet when you find reviews they are consistently great. I hope your channel gets noticed as you are doing a great job!

For < $150 there are only a few cordless vacuums I'd pick for my home. Very few have a sealed canister. As for robot vacs, I think the eufy X10 at $799 beats everything up to $1,000. It's made by Anker, and they've really upped their game.

While the Black Decker is commendable with removable and interchangeable battery to their power tools, I realized that I don't have a black and decker power tool, only cheap power washer and electric screwdriver. The industry of cordless tools or the EU should standardize these battery packs according to voltage or number of cells so that they are interchangeable even to another tool and brand. I have redundant battery packs that aren't not used much, and I'm not even power tools enthusiast, what more the other who buy plenty tools or cordless vacs.

Having dogs and having had a number of cordless vacuums, pets really make the canister smell awful and it also smells nasty as you’re vacuuming. I combat this by putting a couple of drops of nice floral concentrated disinfectant on the filter, and onto a cotton ball and put it in the canister itself. Allow it to dry before vacuuming. You get the same effect of having a nice smell as you vacuum and a better smelling canister at a very small cost.

I think there might be 17 people worldwide who know what a pascal is. (Well it used to be a person, and a computer language) Also I don't know why you would want to kill the pascal. I like the Shark. I replaced my Bissell corded vac with a Shark corded vac because I couldn't get replacement parts for the Bissell anymore. This is an important consideration that reviewers should cover. If you buy the vacuum to use, you will use it a lot and it will need maintenance and repair- filters, belts, beater brush, and for cordless you will eventually need a new battery. Hopefully you can get replacement parts so you don't have to just throw it away and get a new one. For your tangle test I would suggest cutting the fibers into something like 3" lengths to better represent the longest dog or cat hair that most people would have.

@@vacuumnerds and thanks for replying, think reviews on those point would be really helpful for users as well : - performance on stairs (since some of the vaccums are quite heavy, and cleaning can be a little less pleasant for house with multi-storey) - lifespan; how long does it last, and how well is the customer support (at least shark do have customer support, and they actually helps not like some of the other devices)

Why can't anyone seem to design a stick vac that doesn't look like a toddlers toy? Purple, orange, reds, wtf. C'mon.

Shouldn’t cleaning be fun? Cars are monochromatic. Let’s leave a little color in our lives for 20 minutes couple times a week when it’s not in a closet.

@@vacuumnerds I appreciate your sentiment, personally I think "more is less" in terms of design colors. Single color with some contrasting accents, sure purple, red, that's fine, I think the entire industry has just gone over the top these days. In addition stick vacs often end up in plain sight, especially when they're wall mounted (the US at least doesn't have outlets in closets).

How the heck can you compare vacs when companies are using completely different measurements for suction and power ?? I want to see all vacs measured by WATTAGE and SUCTION POWER . My vac is 33kPa and 400W. WTH is a DYSON measured by ? I haven't been able to find ANY info and WTH are "air watts " or the measurements you're using that I've never even heard of or seen ANY vac stats measured using?
@vacuumnerds
@vacuumnerds Жыл бұрын
There are no standards and companies use different ways of measuring and marketing their vacuums. Motor wattage is only somewhat useful as the design of the motor, the motor housing and ways in which air is directed to I create suction and airflow is more important than the wattage of the motor. We measure kpa for suction the same way (as much as possible) for all the vacuums we test so we are comparing vacuums independently and not relying on manufacturer specs. As far as I can tell, air watts is not something with a defined physical unit, and there are no standard tools to measure it. Pa or Pascals is an abbreviation for a Pascal unit which is used to measure a pressure difference. This pressure difference can also be expressed in “inches of water” We chose kpa because it’s a common scientific standard. There are other pressure (suction) units as well, but we’re sticking with just one for this channel so we can compare vacuums similarly as best as we can.

I won’t ever buy a Dyson again. My v8 is on its way out after 3 years and my v10 has such terrible suction power. I use it in my car and it can barely clean it.

I bought all of these on Amazon. Of course I'm going to recommend the vacs I think are solid. These comparisons cost hundreds of dollars to run, excluding production costs. Multiply that by 50 videos/year. I will link to the vacuums I think are good and the ones that aren't great you don't generally hear about, except in occasional shorts.
