If you struggle with shopping on impulse . Something that works for me is taking care of what I have : like cleaning , washing what I already have ! Only buy what you need and make sure it’s something you truly love so you are more encouraged to care for it, don’t buy because it’s cheap ! Also cleaning my home helps me keep my mind busy , as well as learning new cooking recipes :)

this was very encouraging. however, if I may say, I don't believe God wants us to view money as "save up as much as possible", but rather, HOW to manage money. we should try to focus on dispersing it the righteous way. I've personally found myself borderline obsessed with saving as much as I could and the good Lord reminded me that handling it righteously is all it's about. God bless you and your family!

Very great video! I am a "working" wife, and this video was 100% confirmation of what the Lord placed on my heart. As someone who works in corporate law, I was so close to being devoured into the "keep up with the Jones" lifestyle. Overspending on luxury fashion etc. One day in March of this year, I went into my prayer closet and asked God to take away anything or anyone who was distracting me from getting closer to him and my husband and God's word hit me like a sack of bricks. "Thou shall have no other gods before me," and then i knew the luxury lifestyle, fashion, and soical circles had become my idols. I had to repent and ask for forgiveness from God and my husband. In 2024, I plan on leaving my job and career to become a full-time homemake and housewife.

I don't have enough to have this problem. I am actually really good with money. We're one a one working parent budget. I stay home. There is no money to waste.
@susanmartin8705 ай бұрын
Thats a really great point...if you dont have it to waste, it's not an issue. Since i seem to go through too many seasons wasting the little we have, i am quitting my part time job in a month and wont have any to waste. When i have better control over my finances, i will consider earning money from home and put that in savings. The verse in this video has been recurring for me the last week or so, and ai believe it is from the Lord. This is the first year my 1 raspberry plant at our rental has given fruit, and i thought: How wonderful it would be to have property of our own to plant all the fruits we desire on it and watch them grow over the years. So that is my goal. Always has been, but now it is very certain I must do this for my family.

Thank you, I love Proverbs 31. I was lost for so long, I was baptized as a Catholic yet raised Baptist by my grandma, tried Judaism, Islam, and back to Christianity again. I felt so lost for so long. I've found my heart through Jesus, he has forgiven me. I understand what you mean about the PUSH to promote God and live through his word, I felt the same thing a few months ago, after crying at the crossroads for God to forgive me for forsaking him. Thank you so much. I absolutely love your videos. This reborn life has brought me peace that nothing in the entire world ever has. It is a daily battle to implement and not just say these grand words, especially when money is so so very tight, but it is the most rewarding battle to beat.

This is for me. My husband and I are on a debt free journey and are on track to pay off all debt next year. Furthermore, we want to save money to buy a home and I eventually want to come home to raise my son..but I need to tighten up my spending and stop making excuses for buying things I don’t need. How can God trust me with much and I don’t steward the little? The much would be for me to have the privilege to be home with my son and have him grow up in a home. That’s more important to me than the frivolous things I spend money on. This video reminded me of that and I feel so convicted. Thank you. I’m going to try a no spend month.

Love how short and simple this video was but very straight to the point. Overspending is something I have been working on for about a month or so and I've cut so much. I keep praying God fulfills me with hobbies I enjoy that don't require spending, but to learn new things. It so easy to fall into the pattern of overspending when there is so much stuff around us wanting our attention. Such as social media when every KZbinr tries to do is sell us something while they get richer. Thank you for doing the contrary and teaching me and other woman how that is not biblical and doesn't align with God word. I look forward to more content like this. Blessings🙏🏻

Hey Tabitha. I just wanted to encourage you to continue creating content for this channel! I really enjoy listening to videos that help me on my journey to Godly womanhood. Its inspiring and I appreciate it. The world views things so differently from me and a lot of women do not aspire to live life pleasing God and their husband. I have been married for almost 8 years. We married when he was 19 and I was 20. We definitely have our ups and downs but in more recent years I have tried to be a godlier wife and it pays to do so. God designed things the way he did for a reason, and we just humble ourselves we can see this. I may not have much in the eyes of man, but I have a blessed life.

The proper context of this verse is Jesus. Jesus purchased His church (the redeemed) through His precious blood on the cross. No woman, no matter how much we try will never become the woman described on proverbs 31. It is Christ who opens His mouth with wisdom, strength and honor is He, His clothing is fine linen and purple (royalty), He extends His hand to the poor, for all His redeemed are clothed with scarlet ( righteousness), He plants a vineyard. He accomplished it all!

This is a very timely video, and I know it didn't come into my algorithm by accident. I recently purchased a quiet luxury handbag online, because it was 50% off and it will be a timeless bag that should last a lifetime. With that said, now my KZbin is blowing up with videos of women showing off their massive luxury goods hauls. I started feeling less than. Thinking I should get some of these items for the status. To feel important. God convicted me, because my status is in Christ and frivolous spending is not honoring the financial provision God has blessed my family with. Yes sister thank you for this message. I purchased 2 budget planners for 2024. One for home and one for our business. Our business was under attack this year and we had to break the no credit card rule. I am praying we can pay the debt off and rise above what we had to endure. But i love the fact that the one I bought for home even has a section for what can you do to better serve section in it. And the budget planner I bought for our business has a tithing section in it. Explaining why you should do that with your business. And I brought that to my husband attention and our cousin who's our preacher. And the planner became the subject in the sermon today.

I got my first born two gifts and my 8 month old one gift. Normally, I’d want to shower them with loads of gifts! What really matters to me is having us all together and making memories and sharing experiences. Baking cookies, going to local Christmas spots to celebrate and look at lights, watching Christmas movies, and just spending time together as a family. That has so much more value than an over abundance of toys. ❤️

One very important point that you left out....share with others. Make a 'plan' with friends/family to borrow or trade rather than buy new. When I was little we did not have new clothes much (we were pretty poor, in order for my mom to stay home). But, my mom DID have 6 sisters. Someone was always having a baby. My mom & aunts wrote their last name on all the children's clothing tags (& maternity) and just passed them around. When one aunt would announce a pregnancy, the sisters would pile the outgrown clothes together & pass them on😅I wore lots of things with the wrong last name in them LOL. Trying to teach this to a new friend...don't go buy, ask someone first to lend. It builds good relationships, too. you depend on each other & it humbles you. Plus, it teaches you to be extra careful with someone else's belongings & their friendship/feelings. It can also teach you, as the lender, who you can count on to return your things. We have become too 'independent', too individualistic which why our families & communities are suffering from disconnect. Have a swap party - trade appliances, clothes, homeschool books...your husband will appreciate you. Tell people about your hobbies - people will just GIVE you stuff (yarn, fabric, art supplies, etc...). I haven't bought fabric or yarn in years. In return, I can be very generous in making gifts for people. and beware - there definitely ARE people who want you to overspend just to make them happy. there will be people in your life that do not care whether you are fiscally responsible, as long as their whims/needs are met. Don't just assume that the people you think love you want the best for you - have some in my family that equate a $$$$ gift with love. Watch out for those folks and don't give in.
