It is. Unfortunately there isn't a single devcie out there that offers audio routing for Linux in that price area. And even if, they don't offer a software solution. The reason why I went with this interface was: 1. Presonus is acknowledging different platforms 2. It works. The reason for the mono audio channel on my left ear could be due to a Linux problem

for me the revelator doesnt get recognized, i disabled windows UAC etc.. but its still not recognizing it

Great video this was so very helpful im getting mine on Friday and switching from a goxlr mini. Quick question , do you need to have the app or program running in the background for everything to work after you have set it up similar to the goxlr app needing to be running in the background on windows?

I'm not sure if it needs to be running but what you definitely need is the driver itself. I'll get back to you once I tried it. Update: After installing the application and setting everything up, I could close it and the settings remained.

I wouldn't go for the io44 but for a USB-compliant device like the Scarlett 2i2 instead. I can't verify if the PS5 supports this however

In reality you don´t even need an interface, that does that, Steelseries made a software that has mixer for separate audio, eq for mic and headphones, what else do you need? Or you can buy usb mic that has all that in it. You are talking nonsense, GOXLR still offers more than any others do, like where are high quality preamps with low noise? Presonus has terrible preamps in these interfaces, so they are not even worth the money. If you want to save up some money and use XLR microphone, you can buy Elgato Wave XLR, which has up to 60dB of clean gain, 10dB of digital gain, with all these setting, you just don´t have the mixer, soundboard that GOXLR has and you don´t have everything on the touch of your finger. I mean let´s be honest, GOXLR is still expensive, but Rodecaster PRO is too, so why does everybody buying this? Because of these features and quality. So please, don´t just go and talk nonsence like don´t waste money on GOXLR and buy some cheap interface that only tries to do what GOXLR is capable off. If you are lucky you can grab GOXLR used for a bargain, that´s what I did, it cost me roughly same as new Elgato Wave XLR. Just be smart, don´t be an idiot

Well yeah, there are software solutions for USB Mics that's true. However, if you own a XLR-Mic, then this quickly falls apart. Also I think you shouldn't believe everything online. The io44 has solid preamps with no audible base noise level. The only features that the GoXLR offers are just some more effects in the software. But then again, they cannot be stored that easily on the device. Why buy a more expensive product that is not plug and play on several devices and operating systems? I wouldn't spend money on features that most won't even touch, when the quality is up to par. But hey, if that's for you then why not.

@@MichaelNROH sorry to butt in, he's true io44 and io24 had alot of issues and it based on fact. Not just from what he sees and read it online. If yours io44 had no issues. i hope i'm lucky like u. Because alot of people who bought io24 or io44 need to replacement. I lived in 3rd world country, that's presonus cant reach me, if i send the ticket and ask for replacement. So its like a gamble to me, if i bought this. Eventho i really want it!! And then the firmware update, the mix c is gone rather than 3 virtual output u can get (mix A, mix B, and mix C). U only had 2 rn (mix A and mix B). Really bummer!!
