(This is going to sound like a dumb question.) But how can I be a good man if I'm not even sure about what it truly means to be a good man? I still feel like there's a lot of things I don't know.
@littlemisshowei10 ай бұрын
@@lauriex8832Not OP, but my take on that is, if you're taking up time arguing what a good man should be then you already have a grasp of what it entails to be a good man. So instead of talking about it, BE it. Similarly, after watching a few videos on self-improvement you'd already have the basic tools and a good idea of what to do, so instead of falling into the procrastination trap of watching the videos and accumulating the theorical knowledge, take action and do it! (saying that as someone who's fallen into that trap). One could even argue that, depending on what you want to improve, you already kinda know what to do even without watching the videos. And watching the videos is a guilt free way of delaying action. Cause you've convinced yourself that you need to learn this or that before taking action.

I just did twenty, and it was the most productive thing I got out of today's productivity video binge. It's easy as a content creator to wonder if you can cause a positive change in people's lives, so there you have it, you did. I was tired and enjoying a drink after work, so it wouldn't have happened otherwise. I'd also like to add that, just like you said, I'd already seen all the ideas that get floated around. I started the grind years ago, and it worked out for me. Life's gotten tougher again and I've gotten rusty; I lost some of the drive that I had once I saw things getting better across the board, so I'm revisiting this as a content type to remind myself that applying the principles is worth it.

I think it really is crucial to know when to get up and take action - it's much easier to bask in your fantasy of self-improvement rather than actually making it. However, after about 9 months of massive improvement (after 1 month of watching these types of videos) I have been going downhill, slowly but surely, and it's terrifying. I think that is because, as you said, the culture we live in is what determines our behaviour. The videos gave me just that - I spent long periods of time looking at and listening to the people I want to be like, so that mindset was normalised. But since I stopped watching them for a really long time, I can sense my will bending to the influence of those who are simply not on the same journey as me, because these are the people I spend my time with (although I have been making some wonderful friends because of my improvement). This is why I think you, whoever is reading this, should really find a harmony between taking advice and taking action, even if you think you already have the knowledge. It can be books or podcasts too, but I feel like it's logical to target more senses at once. It's not like chulde didn't say all this - I'm just emphasising the point, as I feel that this may bring upon my downfall and I don't want anyone else in this position. Of course, we all have different problems, so you must decide for yourself what's the right thing to do. And thanks for reading all this.

This is the actual world we live in - with hundreds of thousands experts on social media, teaching us how to be more: Productive, Happier, Healthier etc. And I think we have separated so much from our own brains and hearts, that we All might need a big pause. In order to reconnect with ourselves. This starts to be more and more noticed - people do really wake up and start asking themselves such questions.

Fantastic and succinct via the simplicity and truth. Last month I created a great habit: the 4th item in my Morning Plan is to "Health Bounce" on my Rebounder (mini trampoline) while listening to an Inspirational Message. Typically about 10 minutes. 2:32 this is so important?? most self care videos make you stressed ab how to live your life? making you feel like a failure because you wouldnt do what other influencers are doing? everyone was raised differently (yes even siblings) ofc your life isnt going to be the same as the one in the video, thank you.

Good job man. I am grateful that usually these are on as the "mindless background noise" while I am tackling a productive task: Exercising, Editing, Reading, Running, Working. This video is a great wake-up call for people who are SOLEY watching these videos though. Gotta Do the Do. Produce, don't only Consume.

Amazing video! That is exactly what I've been thinking of recently. Too much information on how to live and too little life in my life. Thank you for sharing this video. It's refreshing.

Thank you brother, I have been trapped in this loop since a long time and was wondering if I was wasting time on improvement vedios .They were not seriously getting me out. But the way u presented this vedio, it really made my time. Thank you so much. I really want to delete all the social media so badly but can't do it as I require some of them for my my studies. I am serious this time as my exams are up . Not a joke anymore. I came across this channel for the first time and I don't know what kind of concepts you presents but I am subscribing just because this vedio deserves ❤

I wached this video about 2 months ago, now i understand it, i started working out in my bedroom without knowing a thing about it and only now i am seeing videos actually helping me, like workout guides you're absolutely right, first you need to start, then you need to know and the last thing is just staying consistent

I am kind of addicted to these type of videos. No matter how many videos I watch, I feel like I am missing out on some information, some tricks, some mindset tips and what not. It is like there is no end to this. I just watch one video after another after another and it goes on forever. It's like info dumping your brain. Always trying to find perfect ways of doing things like how to study effectively, how to study smart, how to get quality sleep, and other topics. You never really care about how to implement that video in your life. you just keep watching them even when they make you feel overwhelmed. it's like you are in a quest of some secret to improve your life. some days are really great, where you can actually do your work instead of trying to find out ways to do it perfectly. but some days you can't get out of this rabbit hole and you feel very bad for keep watching, but it's hard to get out of it.

I think it is okay to watch these videos from time to time to boost your motivation but the sad truth is that we watch them instead of taking steps, you are right. Thanks for the video! Have a good day!
