Today, I'm discussing a men's summer-style essential, specifically shorts. You don't want to look like a dork wearing them, so I will cover some of the biggest don'ts. First, I want to get some things out of the way. Yes, I shave my legs, but don't comment that I'm gay because I shave them. Just stop it. The second thing is that I have a small calf. I am super insecure because one is smaller than the other after I ruptured my Achilles tendon about 15 years ago. No matter how many calf raises I do, it's always going to be smaller. Last, the best shorts, in my opinion, are from Cuts. They also have fantastic tee shirts, henley's, long-sleeve tees, and polos. Length matters. Don't wear shorts that are too long or too short. A five-inch inseam is going to be the shortest. I'm wearing a seven-inch in the video, which is the optimal choice. A nine-inch inseam is a bit longer, and nobody should be wearing an 11 or 12. The length you wear depends on how long your legs are and how tall you are. It's all about proportions. You need to expose about an inch to 2 above the kneecap.
Proper fit. Your shorts shouldn't be too baggy or too wide, and they shouldn't be super tight, either. You need to be able to pinch about an inch on either side of your thigh.
Crotch fit. Do not have a big and droopy crotch. To maximize your aesthetic, make sure you don't have a lot of room in the crotch area. You want a slim fit without being too baggy or too tight.
No pleats. The folds of fabric down by your crotch will make you look pear-shaped. Opt for a flat front. To dress up your shorts, you need to make sure you don't have elastic and then pair them with loafers. Check out the combinations I demonstrate in the video, where I change the look of the outfits quickly to create smooth, casual, clean, and sexy perfection.
Type of fabric. Nobody wants to see your wiener or whether or not you're circumcised. Make sure you wear underwear if your shorts are thin. And never wear basketball shorts outside of the gym. It's not a good look.
Aesthetic shoes. Do not wear running shoes when you're wearing non-athletic clothing. Choose a retro-style sneaker. The leather minimal sneaker works every time. I like mine with a gum sole, which gives it a retro flare. Choose between white, gray, or brown. Flip-flops can look fantastic but can also look terrible. If your flip-flops are super big, this looks horrible. Old and sporty also looks awful. Make sure your toes are not ugly and nasty, so take care of them. Two recommendations are: Rainbow makes the best flip-flops, and Birkenstock slides work incredibly well with shorts.
No visible socks. If you're wearing nice shorts with minimal leather sneakers, you should avoid socks. Choose no-show socks. This will help make your lower legs look longer and will also give a cleaner and more aesthetic look.
Avoid standard cargo shorts. Cargo shorts get a lot of guys in trouble. But you can find cargo shorts that are more fitted in the leg and not so baggy with pockets. Standard cargo shorts will look really big and break the visual line from your shoulders to your feet. The heavy fabric also doesn't look very good either. You need to find a fabric that's comfortable and breathable. Stretch is also advised.

Yeah, one thing about Cuts is they look nice but they are severely overpriced. Their t-shirts I believe start at $78, which is ridiculous for something that's very basic, plain and made of cotton. I can find very decent dress shirts for that much or even less. A few videos back Alpha also showed off some sort of jacket which I believe was suede from Cuts. I looked it up and it was $600. That's what you can expect to pay for a custom leather jacket in a brick and mortar store, but I would never pay that for an online jacket made of suede or whatever.

yeah, the no socks doesn't look right. I guess if your wearing common projects.. Crew socks are fine with nice uk new balance. Also, combination of 5in and 7in and 8 shorts are fine. Les Tien(shorts/sweats), jjj jound, aime Leon,ronning, beams, united arrow have a more updated look even for older men.. The whole yuppie look with no socks looks outdated. I think a mix of luxury street fashion depending on how in shape you are can give a more updated stylish look without trying hard. Also, adding a nice gmt/sub to top it off.

An XS shirt is not designed to fit on man of average height who looks like a twig. It's designed to fit on someone with a smaller torso, which includes narrower shoulders. Sorry man, you got me on this one…. I mean, I’ll wear swimming trunks that end just above the knees but, there’s no way in hell I’d wear shorts that end an inch above 😮 my knees let alone 2. Sorry but anything 0.005” above the knee is man-child status lol! Might as well add High* Socks, and dress shoes. That’s like, lederhosen w/ hosenträger territory man… if I wear shorts, it has to be baggy that cover the knees, has to have side pockets for qty (2) mobiles, a wallet, a keychain, the AirPods, some gum oh and, definitely a set of USB-C cables.. If I cannot rock these, then, a nice chinos with low socks and some light, comfortable shoes and a nice fitted polo shirt. In this case I’ll take 1x phone in the pocket along with my keyfob (only), my DL and my AMX and I am set. I leave the rest of the stuff in my glove box. Yes, you are 100% wrong because having shorts that go to the knee or past make your legs look shorter and the rest of you look small. One of the main objectives in fashion, particularly when it comes to sizing, is to make your body look proportionate. Wearing shorts like that makes your body look disproportionate, and I find it odd you think doing so makes you look more "childish" when there are plenty of kids who wear clothes too big too, because most kids don't have good fashion sense either. Also, just because a short is shorter doesn't mean the pockets are smaller. If you need to carry all that crap on you at all times, you have issues.
