I've found whenever I pickup something elsewhere in the base, such as a Research Table, the boxes ontop of the vending machines all destroy themselves...

For the triangle roof boxes, you can actually fit 3 large boxes instead of 2 and a small one. The same positioning, but just make sure the large boxes are flush against the back of the wall, then you can fit the 3rd large box and still seal up it up.

It's a vault, meaning it's no ordinary loot room. It takes up all the space there is. Even if you can't reach it.

I've been using the technique of placing small boxes on top of vending machines but I kept seeing them break. I'm pretty sure this means they're decaying, but it also somehow could be because I was playing on modded. By the way, what's the song called? It sounds pretty nice.

It's a Vault. Not your regular loot room. This is for everything to be stored in one place for safe keeping, not a place to grab stuff out every now and then.
