We hear from five experienced men who logged by horse and by hand in what is now World Heritage listed rain forest. They went to work by row-boat.

It's great to see someone putting this Tassy history out there for the next generation or anyone with an interest. Thanks Garry

Thankyou so much for the time and effort you've put into making this channel, Garry. I'd love to see your videos be used in schools to educate our children about the history of Tasmania. My grandfather, Peter Taylor, was a sculptor from the huon valley. He crafted many interesting pieces, one of which, is the coat of arms for the senate room, in parliament house, Canberra. He would sometimes travel to Strahan to source huon pine for upcoming projects, from the Morrisons. Hearing the history shared by these amazing men really sheds light on how things were, in a time so foreign to our present. The pioneers of our rugged island possessed a spirit of unbreakable will and determination, all but lost to the generations of now.
