Chronic pain patients suffer from medical gaslighting all the time. We learn not to trust doctors. And I’m a PA. They said pain is psychological I went from bodybuilding to barely leaving my house and I’m doing this to myself? Saying that to a patient is a mental illness.

Oh wow. The first lady explained everything I experienced every single day. I’ve stopped going to the ER because they don’t listen or understand. I’ve been accused of being a drug seeker when all I ask for is a shot of pain medicine to simply stop the pain. I have pain medicine doctors and get spinal injections, epidurals, and ablations but I still hurt in other areas they don’t treat. It’s frustrating, depressing, and infuriating to live my life this way.

My chronic pain was unbearable before my Hernia surgery along with a chronic RLS kept me from getting any good sleep now after surgery I am not able to get off the couch all day no sleep at all durring the night so if I get a couple hours of sleep durring the day is best i can wish for my mental health is scary at best my muscles are weak and eating is hit or miss. But opiates are addictive. I won't have to worrie much longer because I simply can't go on like this and why would I want to
