I always wear a brown scapular and I've been enrolled. Two weeks ago I became very ill with a high fever and in pain, with severe headaches and every muscle and bone in body hurt at times. I was too sick to go to the emergency room. My temeperature was 104.1 at one time, 103.1 and 102 degrees days before that. For almost two weeks I was down in bed. I got to where I felt better and went to the doctor a couple of days ago. He said that air wasn't getting into my lower right lung and then diagnosed me with pneumonia. I give thanks to the Blessed Mother Mary for helping me be okay through the times when I was extremely sick to where I am now.

I wonder why God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to take the sins of the world suffer and die and go to Hell so that man may live when the brow scapular was on its way.? A piece of wool that does what the Blood of Christ did

The Brown Scapular and its promises do not take away from the sacrifice of Christ. As seen in the recount of the communist executions if one chooses a life of sin the scapular will not remain with you. The main thing with the Scapular is that Our Lady has promised us by our devotion that we will die having recieved our last rites and offers us added protection in times of trouble often to ensure a happy death. Notice in some of the stories the person made it to recieve their last confession etc. Not necessarily living through the ordeal.

Sounds like he is taking away from Christ. It is through the blood of Christ we are saved not by a powerful queen and a piece of wool. Promises to those who wear it (according to pope John 22) The Blessed Virgin Mary promised to save those who wear the brown scapular from hell. She promised protect them from trials and temptations of the devil. Protection from trials and temptations of the devil. God does not even promise that. Are you free from temptations and trials of the devil? This promise renders the Lord's Prayer null and void. Why ask Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil? Takes away from the sacrifice of Christ. She also promised to shorten their stay in purgatory. She said that on Saturday after their death whosoever she founds on purgatory, she shall free and lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting. There is no time in Eternity. Therefore there are no days of the week, there are no Saturdays. Lead to the holy mountain of life? After all this do you really believe the scapular does not take away from the sacrifice of Christ
