This is a great video! I picked up a few tips I didn't know. 🙂 I had no idea that putting the egg in the carton, pointy side down helps keep them fresh longer. We go through so many eggs, so quickly that I guess I hadn't noticed it. Thanks for the info!

I didn't know the egg shell would act as a magnet to draw out a broken shell. That is so handy to know. I was interested in knowing whether to wash my fresh eggs or not. You answered my questions. Thank you!

I knew everything except that the egg shell would act as a magnet for bits of shell.

With the exception of a fertilized egg, How do you tell an egg isbad? Will it smell bad or look bad? What about the small red speck seen in some eggs ?

Good questions! It will smell bad....you'll know! In my 50-something years of using "fresh" eggs, I have seen only two that were bad...one had a chicken embryo in it. Now, THAT was scary for a young, little girl to find. 🫣 The little speak is a bit of blood. It's as harmless as blood in hamburger before cooking it. However, I usually get that speak out with the eggshell as a magnet. Personal preference. Hope you have a great day!
