C4 Bowling Glove Brace By STORM!
I had hurt my wrist in an accident months ago so i couldn't bowl & had a hard time fishing due to the pain. But being a stubborn individual i found a way to fish & my wrist is almost back to normal. So i tried using several bowling wrist braces so i could slowly get back into bowling. The non-metallic braces i tried wasn't stiff enough to secure my wrist. So i went to see local bowler & pro shop owner Roy Yamanuha to purchase a Storm XL C4 brace. He recommended to wait until my wrist got stronger but i felt it was time.
I started with a 1-step approach with no pain. I slowly got into my normal 5-step approach but still babying my swing until my wrist gets strong enough for me to swing my 14 & 15lb balls with authority as before the accident. At that point i was cautioned that if i stay with the C4 brace that i'll start relying on it & won't be able to bowl without it. But i'll see how my game goes till then.
I decided to make this short video on how to alter the settings to match your style of release. Many of my bowling buddies couldn't even open the box & knew nothing on how to put the brace on or how it's used. After i showed my bowling buddies one of them "snuck off" to see Mr Yamanuha to purchase his own (and is bowling extremely well in league with it).
I wouldn't recommend using this or any brace as an alternative to counter wrist injuries just to bowl. I've been using a therapeutic hospital supplied brace to allow my wrist to heal on it's own. It has, but decided to temporarily use this brace to help strengthen my wrist so i wouldn't have to spend 100's starting with lighter balls. I've been fishing & hauling in sharks & rays with no problems either.
After owning 4 comparable popular wrist braces (no, won't mention name brands here) i can honestly recommend the Storm C4 Wrist Brace. Comes in SM, MED, LRG & XL for Left or Right handed users. For those that have bigger gorilla arms then mine if you take off the supplied padding & use a Storm wrist liner instead you should be able to fit the XL size (i barely do with the pads).
