Storm damage at Runway DFW Ranch

FIrst of all, I am glad that you, your wife, and your horses are safe and sound. Yesterday, as I was traveling back to OKC on I-35, as I was approaching Gainesville, I saw where the tornado crossed I-35, and there was twisted metal and wood in the median and along the sides of the road, power lines were down, and there were several crews on the frontage road that were surveying the damage.

Glad you did not take a direct hit Walt. Sad how many lost lives and property during that storm Saturday night. We here in south Euless missed out on most of that large hail last night but understand Bedford got hammered with baseball size hail with that storm. It's been a heck of a spring for weather here in north Texas for sure.

Hey Walt glad your ok. We are very close to where that tornado went through. We live just south of Lone Oak Rd. Bet we didnt even get a drop of rain just lots of went and power went out. At least you are ok things can be replaced but not your lives. It was a wild night to say the least.

Yes, you were lucky in a lot of ways, but I know this is heartbreaking, too. Your view has changed forever - yet the birds chirp on. It's bound to cause some trepidation every time another storm comes through. That will take a lot of effort to clean up, and your Runway DFW family will understand if you have things besides plane spotting on your agenda for awhile. I'm so glad Y'all are ok! I was watching the radar last night as the tornado was happening, it didn't look good on radar. Then the light of day showed just how bad it was.

Dang, Walt! I knew that tornado was up your way and you were driving straight toward the storm going home from the show last night. Rough night for a lot of folks, glad y'all are ok and the damage wasn't worse. I had a tree blown down on a car parked out back, in Bedford. All ok, life goes on!

Glad you are ok! This storm came right north of Me and it was INSANE! There was many photos and video’s circulating around the internet of damage and even a photo of the tornado!
