Tree work is less expensive in the winter. There is less demand so most tree workers lower their prices to stay busy. What other jobs do this?
@Gillteixeira2 күн бұрын
Do you have a drone? I’m curious, how do you capture those awesome angles from up in the tree?

On vacay and watched all the way thru. Good vid, easy to watch. Are you using a 360 cam stick-jibbed off your body at times?
@VeteranTreeServiceКүн бұрын
Hey August. You're correct. Took me a while to pull the trigger on the 360 and to figure out how to use it in the tree. I have a few more tricks in the works. It should stabilize the shots and allow me to use the cam anytime. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍

I’m glad you showed the rope runner pro not collapsing on itself. It makes a difference if you’re not new and only climb straight up & down. Gnarly tear out. Was that a rope grab or a pulley you attached to pull up the saw? Nice work Happy New Year

It's a simple micro pulley. The brand of that one is Notch.

Thanks Travis! I put a lot of effort into getting "the shot" and editing. Most of the time I'm working I feel more like a video director than a tree worker. My mind is like, "what's the next shot?". It's easier to make videos in the big firs because I'm not having to use extra brain power to do fancy rigging or use advanced climbing techniques. They're simple trees compared to wide spanning trees like the ones you have. This video was way easier to make than the maple pruning job I just did and posted.

If you can make the shot, something i would try to do, if i get a insta 360. you know you get those swing handles. When you have taken the top of, set it in the middle of the tree, swing it around while you cutting a firewood piece :D
