We went for a wander around Newquay yesterday (Sunday) when winds had dropped a little and couldn't believe how strong it was still blowing. Must have been terrifying on Saturday. Hope the poor lady clinging to the lamp post got home safely or someone came to her rescue. Never known a storm like this in my 57 years born and bred in Cornwall.

I myself I'm a totally born and bred Cornish person too When Storm Darragh struck on December 7th 2024 I myself I stayed safely indoors the entire time but from indoors I could still hear the heavy winds blowing like mad outside
