Truth is : They CAN control and manipulate the weather. Using HARRP , & 300' MICROWAVE antennas , among many other things including the trimethyl aluminum sprayed in the sky. No its not con trails. All jets employ the newer engines that do not leave contrails.

I really like Martin Sheen movies, some more than others, this one I’m not sure about because @ 4:13 his character has just given the captain of the aircraft an illegal order, telling him to deliberately put his crew and the aircraft into an almost (we will see what happens) suicidal situation, and no aircraft captain I ever knew would do that unless it was in combat, even if they were to survive the captain’s flying career would be over, I know it’s only a film but that doesn’t mean that a little reality and realistic story can’t be included.

I was annoyed enough to see the plot needed a general (and a damned fine actor) to make an extremely poor and hugely improbable error and send a plane crew to its death, and then we had to have "the best meterologist in the university" making even more imbecilic, bone-headed misjudgments in another aircraft. It kills my engagement with the plot. Phillip Roth wrote it - surely can't be The Phillip Roth, not this clunky trash.

It’s amazing. The man-made hurricane was sitting over the Northern Bahamas. In the real world, 2019, a natural hurricane, Category 5 Hurricane Dorian battered parts of the Abacos and Grand Bahama Island for two days. Major destruction.

Yes a cat 5 hurricane is the most dangerous.I wouldn't want to be in one,they sound terrifying.I am in the UK so luckily we don't get cat 5 hurricanes.We have had minor tornadoes which have caused trees to be toppled and walls to come down but luckily no one lost their lives.

Got that obligatory nod to woodenhead Al Gory about climate change in the opening scenes. Which means part of the funding for the movie came from him. I hate to burst his bubble (actually not true, I would love to be the one that does that) but the driver of climate regimes across the globe can be found on the poles, and it is an entirely natural phenomenon.
