the centers in my area are ancient lane surfaces so none of the gems matched up well plus my grandpa ball speed didnt help, lol great channel sir!

I am a two hander with a very high rev rate but I really struggle with speed. I stayed away from stronger balls for the longest time. I made some release changes, staying more up the back, and the gem and now the ion max has become my go-to balls. They stay on line better simply because they dont duck hook at the end of the pattern like the weaker equipment was. The gem became one of the most versatile balls in my bag and I am really hoping this Ion will be its replacement once I get comfortable with it.

@@ThaHomieNitty_Bowls pin down will be less aggressive. By going pin down you are putting the core in a less aggressive position aka limiting the flair. As a result, the ball motion will be smoother with a less violent change of direction at the end of the pattern.

Way too strong for what I bowl on at my local center. Gave up tournament bowling awhile back so I have zero need for a piece like this. Roto Grip Hyped and the 900 Global Zen are my go-to for a THS.

Sometimes a really strong ball with a weaker up the back release and high ball speed can really match up great on a house shot. Just sayin. More than one way to attack the lanes.

Depends on the house. Some house shots are very long and heavy.

My local bowling alley puts down a puddle or nothing for their house shot. They claim it’s the same oil pattern but throwing the ball down the same line some nights your ball is coated in oil all night and others there’s nothing to wipe off after a throw.

You can’t swing that ball to out of bounds or play across the boards. It’s an early mid lane ball. Not flippy.
