The day you guys went to the pub was our travel-home day from Florida - fortunately the winds subsided an hour before we landed! We've been to Orlando in January many times before, but apart from the odd day it's always been warm and sunny.....but not this year! When it was sunny it was cold, and when it was warm it was overcast and usually raining - and we only had even a hint of humidity on two days out of the fortnight. We had planned a lot of non-parks stuff this time, but the weather was so rubbish that we mainly stayed in the International Drive area. We basically spent four grand on going to the pub! 😄 We still enjoyed ourselves, but the weather was definitely a bit of a shock.

Hi guys, Great vlog we’re from Bury. You should visit in the summer, up the road from where you were is Burrs country park (think you can stay in the van) or head up Holcombe hill towards Ramsbottom great views from peel tower!

Guys get the new Apple Vision Pro for the van, this can be used as screen to watch shows and Leigh can edit videos on it, just need a keyboard and a couple of grand. But it’s worth it trust me!

Great vlog guys if your ever in the bury area again try the Pack Horse pub in a little village called Affetside only 5 min from theGarsdale , it’s of national historical interest there’s a human skull on show , the pub was built in 1442 on the historical Roman rd Watling st , interesting area !

I know you don’t like Florida in January but it’s still so much better than the UK. The night Vera and I celebrated our birthdays it was 28c and we still had T shirts on at 11pm. I always hated my birthday being in January but not so bad when you are in sunny Florida

We went to WDW this past January from the 9th to the 21st. We wore shorts every day but hoodies were also worn most of the time. It was so odd that the heating was on in the hotel room. Quite a lot of rain too. But I loved it for walking round the parks. No getting hot and sweaty. For the first time ever I wore a woolly hat on one evening!

Watching this in Florida been here few weeks. Cold at night but temp average 20-22 last few days and no rain except Sunday morning (shopping day) back again in October so hopefully as nice as now. Traveller cheques made me laugh as I remember them week.

We did Florida November 2023 it rained most of the time we had booked Mickey very merry Christmas party 4 inches of water in the park left after an hour 🫣 definitely sticking to summer ☀️

Your trip to Costco reminded me that I can't find cotton and rayon ladies' sports crew white socks anymore in the US. They are adding polyester to socks now. Do you think there is a store in England that sells cotton and rayon white socks. My feet are on the smaller side.

Enjoyed the blog Guys. In Bury there’s the East Lancashire Steam Railway which is very scenic. They have afternoon teas & silver service evening meals etc. thought may possibly might fancy blogging

Whilst you were trying to keep the car on the motorway we were at Heathrow airport about to fly to Dubai. Sat on runway waiting for a plane to land but due to the winds hand to abort the landing , so then it was our turn to take off. Was the roughest take off we have ever experienced 😓

Great vlog! Costco is great! That is, if you have the room to store bulk purchases. I don't, and I'm single, so use Costco mostly for car rentals. I'm a US shopper, and I'm curious how the prices compare to what Nick has been finding with car rentals. I have never been able to find a company that beats Costco rental car prices...

Hello guys. You always give me inspiration for trips and days out. I have somewhere to recommend to you for a drive out one day. It’s a lovely pub/restaurant in werneth Low, Hyde. It’s called The Hare and Hounds. The location is amazing. You can see the whole of Manchester below from the pub , ask for a window seat as you may get near the fire. Great food and afterwards you can have a brief walk across the road to the fields. The views are fab or drive a short distance to werneth low country park and go for a walk . It’s also on the flight path for Manchester airport so you get to see planes quite low going past xx

Freeze the bananas in small chunks then once frozen put in blender and make a ice cream. Also good in smoothies or breakfast bowls with oatmeal and honey

Costco is a dangerous place. You go there for specific items like washing pods and come back with so much more. I love apple crumble. I use a tin of ready prepared apple filling and make my own crumble topping with plain flower, margarine and Demerara sugar 😊

Did you get to meet Lisa and Amy the couple who run The Grizedale. They are good friends of ours and are a lovely couple. It also sits on the edge of Burrs Park where you can often see the steam trains going through the park.

Costco diesel is premium as well, so it will clean through your fuel system.

I have Costco in N. California for the gas alone. I also buy Salmon but the frozen fillets in individual packages. About 7 pieces in a bag. When our current president got in office gas rose 5 cents a week till it hit $5 here. Nothing good happening in the U.S. since. So many people signed up with Costco and it’s really noticeable because of gas.

We went to florida at the beginning of January and the weather wasn't bad at all. A couple of times, I had to wear a spirit Jersey instead of a vest top, a couple of storms. The heat was just nice. We would defo be going back in January
