This epic adventure will be something you girls talk and laugh about forever!! Those trips that turn out to be not exactly what you planned, but you adapted, are the best! How lucky you ladies are to have each other for adventure buddies! It's hard to find women who are cut out for stuff like this. I'm lucky to have a niece who's my adventure buddy, we're both pretty gritty and we always overestimate ourselves, but we always dig through it and have a ball. Our drive home is usually a lot of tears brought on by laughter at some of the situations we get ourselves into! The sense of humor you two share is so fun to watch!

You chicks.....WOW!! Honestly, Zippy & Dippy you are, without a doubt the 2 most inspirational, entertaining, soul re-building, characters on the planet! I mean, what you guys were battling was clearly starting to knock you around, but hey, it's 'just a bit of a gusty breeze'....on this little 'Yukon Creek' in A CANOE.....It's all good; we got Moosey, instant coffee, a deck of cards....oh & MAC n CHEESE. But seriously, you make each other laugh. I've watched all of your incredible adventures and you always have a laugh & it's addictive! Thank you for pushing the limits on one the most notoriously unforgiving Rivers in one of the most climatically challenging locations of North America, just to make me feel better after a crappy day. We have so enjoyed this! My all time favorite videos from you! What a wonderful time! This was good and will have millions of views before a year is up. My passion for this river started in grade school about 1976 in 5th grade when we watched on film in the classroom, Yukon Passage and narrative with Jimmy Stewart. Then I saw one of your videos last year sometime and noticed you had the book also. I had no idea there was one and so I found one and got it. Would love to do that trip! God-bless you and Dave. As an experienced white water outfitter I also suggest getting a cargo net over that gear because if you capsize you will lose most of the gear in the chaos.

This reminds me of my canoe trip on the boundary waters. It rained on us in the canoe, we were soaked to the bone and freezing, shivering. Waves nearly capsizing the canoe. We found an island refuge. Had to put rocks in the tent to keep it from blowing away. We never even made it across the first lake. Had planned to portage to a second lake. Had to turn back when the weather broke. Sunshine the last day, my friend caught a fish and we cooked it over the fire. I still hear the sound of the loons. What a memorable trip.

Oh my gosh! I loved your float trip. I am living vicariously through you two ❤! My husband and I drove from Missouri to Alaska this summer with our 21 ft camper and our 75 lb lab, Molly. It was beyond amazing. We went through Sweetgrass Montana, up the ALCAN to Tok, north to North Pole, left out camper there to venture up to the Arctic Circle via the Dalton. Fairbanks was beautiful. Wish i could have connected with you. We drove all over AK for 5 weeks. Never made any itinerary, just where the roads took us. Dry camped 90% and caught a campground when we knew we would be leaving the truck and/or camper. That is an experience I will never forget. Oh, jut as a side bar...my folks were in the process of homesteading in AK in the early 1950s when Mom found out she was pregnant with my oldest brother....bummer. But I always wanted to see what drew them, now I know. I would have loved it there, as would they. I love your videos and hope you keep offering them. Havent found one i didn't love. Less you and yours and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year ❤😊

Yeah, I live near to the 2nd biggest body of water on mama green earth, the mighty Atlantic ocean. (Not braggin, just sayin.) But Courtney was right that what you guys were dealing with paddling up the mighty Yukon river was akin to dealing with the ocean. (The sound of the small waves washing up on the embankment sounded very much like waves crashing on the shoreline. ) I learned something new too watching this vlog. The 3 feet high waves in the middle of the river are called "Tidal Bores," which happens when a strong conflicting tide enters the river. Wow, With the wind kicking the way that it was , and you both paddling up steam against the river's current; plus that powerful wave that crashed on the river bank ; just behind your long canoe, showed that you both had a real fight with the Yukon that day! Bravo to you both! Cool man. P.s. Good thing that you both had knowhow putting that tent up, with the tarp for a windbreaker. That storm was akin t a mini-tempest. Wow, haha, what a semi -dangerous fun, fun life! Cool beans.
