Limbing and clearing underbrush is one of the best forestry practices you can do! Then selectively thinning and logging to remove competative stress on your better trees. A healthy open forest improves wildlife habitat hugely. I love that you and your hubby work so hard to improve every place you touch! Great stewardship!

I truly appreciated this video. My wife of 54 years said, "I don't know why you like stuff like that." She's watching network TV detective stories. I retired from all that crime fighter stuff; this is inspirational to me! Also, thank you for honoring and acknowledging our Lord. Whatever our calling in life, if we are His, we know that He's worthy of more than we can ever tell others. They must learn that for themselves. But, Brooke, thanks anyway. Lovely spot there. We've never been to Alaska, but would like to take a cruise someday. Stay safe. Blessings.

My feelings exactly. Single mom early in life with all the struggles and now in mid-60s and pray everyday for endurance to just still put one foot ahead of other. When I watch Brook and her adventures, I reminisced of when I was working the farm alone with two young kids and had God's grace of strength and endurance. Love this video and look forward to more always. 👍😎 PS: I looked up about the yellow feather you discovered in the woods and I found it very interesting that there are 27 yellow birds in Alaska, yellow birds are common in Alaska in Spring & Summer. Alaska Tropical Songbirds, the Wilson Swarbler and the yellow Warbler I figured to possibly be the bird feather you found. Beautiful little birds indeed!! ❤ 🌲🇨🇦

Your spontaneous "thank you Lord" blesses me more than a month of Sunday school. I am inspired to get out doors and face my own challenges.

Oh Brooke...thank you soOOOoo much for my laugh of the day! I was LOLing for long minutes watching your predicament with Moose in an inflatable kayak, with poor Moosey freaking out and a fish on the line!!! Keeping the fish on the line, holding Moose and trying to paddle back to shore...can't make this stuff up! I'll wager now that NEXT trip out with Moose 'this girl in the woods' will be packing a net as a 'priority'. Luv the vid and luv your strong work-like-a-horse attitude. I too luv 2 work hard on projects outdoors. Just feels sooOOOoo good! Thanks 4 the 1st dee-lish bite. I'm grateful 4 your love of 'Him'! Stay strong. God Bless! :)

Your Moose catching a fish was beyond hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 My mouthful of coffee went everywhere !!!! That was the highlight of my day. THANKYOU @Brooke 👏👏👏👏👏 Everything else was exceptional also. So glad you got to spend a night there; now you've claimed your new building and living area, piece of land. AMAZING woman that you are, may you continue to seek and speak & serve the Risen Christ who brings all these blessings to your life for His glory Brooke. Thankyou Lord, keep them all safe and in Your loving care. Until we meet again , from an Aussie Nan , She Gone; Oh and Get out and get happy !!! I shall. 🇦🇺🤗💞✝️🙏✌️👍👏👏👏👏🇺🇲

Wow, you are my kind of lady. I’m amazed how you can work so hard out in the wilderness by yourself and catch your own fish clean it. I’m amazed there’s not many young leaders like you may God bless your little heart. You are so my kind of person.

Having owned several corgis while growing up, I never would have expected they would go kayaking, wilderness exploring, and surviving out in a cabin in Alaska. Moose is quite an impressive corg! A perfect match for all the hard work you did in this video!

Concur. Corgis are the best dogs ever and wonderfully adaptable. Very loyal. Long life and happiness to all Corgis everywhere.

Ha! Moose went crazy! I want a fresh trout so bad! The best trout I ever had was cooked just like you cooked it. We went camping and didn't have many supplies but we threw it on the fire in foil! So delicious! You're such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your adventures! God bless!

I've got to get inspired to do my back yard. It's a little space I could make into something cute if I had Brooke's energy. 😅

Ten minutes at a time and only my hands get dirty. I discovered it was relaxing at that pace. Now when I want to relax ... my mind sends my body out to the backyard for ten minutes snipping & pulling. Small improvements are surprisingly rewarding. Must be a dopamine thing. ⛅🌞⛅
