Timestamps of big brain moments: 3:50 insane cooldown usage to live 6:38 blocks the reaper instead of the ram 9:16 when he runs out of armor with form, he pops his ult to get armor, perfect min maxing 12:27 almost blocks beat with shield, minmaxes form and ult again 18:37 they've used both support ults and there's 30 seconds left, only way they win the fight is if: 1. sugarfree gets a pulse 2. seeker gets a pick on widow, or 3. hawk hits a crazy bomb, guess who's the best western dva player, perfect placement, perfect execution 20:54 insane awareness that spilo points out 25:15 times rock with bap window like what, this one might be too good to be true but you never know with a player like hawk 25:40 primary fire, melee, q, sees genji use dash mid blade so he can flux him, MOVES TO THE HIGH GROUND TO DODGE THE DVA BOMB BTW how does he even have the mental capacity to do all of this in the heat of the moment 26:05 intro to the vid 30:14 TURNS HIS HEAD AWAY AS HE GETS BASHED BY BRIG STUN SO HE CAN'T BE HEADSHOT LIKE WHAT 32:07 remechs into the wall to manipulate baby dva hitbox so shes harder to hit while remeching

As support main that recently started tanking seriously, I've watched a ton of Hawk because he mains the tanks I prefer to play. His Dva play is nothing short of surgical. Every DM, turn, rockets, etc...is on point.

this is just such a treat to watch, really cool stuff :) I've been picking up ram recently, this made me see how my vortex timing/usage is practically nonexistent. Idk how demanding these type of vids are to make, but I'd love to see a breakdown of his doomfist play as well. I feel like its rare to see conceptual analyses of doomfist, bc so many creators focus on his mechanics and techs.

I remember watching winston vod of hawks on route 66 and was blown away by how he uses cover and tesla as a real poke tool. If you find one of those vods i feel it would beneficial to show it so people can see what he can do on winston aswell.

I met hawk in Toronto, he's a cool guy unfortunate that this season he was benched and also he was definitely robbed role star in 2022 (he agreed lol)

my biggest gripe with last season of OWL was how long the same dive meta lasted, and the fact that a winston otp basically had all the playtime on atlanta over a much more flexible player just because his arguably worst hero was meta all season really sucks

as i started getting back into overwatch around season 3 i really gravitated towards ram. watching the overwatch league and seeing how dominant hawk was with ram brawl i instantly became a fan, really sad that the season ended so poorly for atl but i will remain a hawk fan until i die!

Beautiful video. I was mostly sleeping when the video was reached in my KZbinqueue. Even while lucid dreaming I still ended up learning a lot.

Ive noticed this a lot in lower ranks, tanks and to a lesser extent damage expect their support to heal and therefore trade damage at a loss at times which is part of the reason heal bots are such a problem
@roarbertbearatheon85658 ай бұрын
Heal bots aren’t a problem just heal and let the damage do their job
@bennettstokes1958 ай бұрын
@@roarbertbearatheon8565 heal bots are a huge problem for lower ranks, in fact I think heal bots are responsible for many of the life time metal rank players. Dps and tank players expect and often get constantly healed, so the play in open space without cover, and when they die they say the need more heals, instead of fighting for map control and player optimal range, the dps spam main, the tank spams main the support spam heals, and everyone crosses their fingers and hopes they win
@bennettstokes1958 ай бұрын
@@roarbertbearatheon8565 tanks like dva spam their shotguns for 2 damage while the take 100, reapers front line in front of everyone, bastions demolishing because no one plays cover, Morias get flamed by to their team as they climb to plat for free

At 32:10, when Hawk remeched he stared at the wall and left his back open to the enemy team. Why did he do that instead of facing them to get an idea of where they are and to use mech as cover once it comes down
@jaykrb8 ай бұрын
he likes to face a wall before the re-mech because it makes baby dva move, meaning she’s harder to hit while re-meching

Hawk did not make the transition well to 5v5. His best season by far was in 2021 when Atlanta were runners up to Shanghai. Reiner was NA's only real future at Tank and Unfortunately, he retired. Hopefully a new crop of talent comes up the ranks.
