Thanks so much mana! Loved your descriptions. I would love to see you put out some build order guides on your channel if you have time. Those seem really hard to find so far. Would love a beginners guide to the maps and 1/2 build orders per map I think that would see a lot of success.

it's kind of both and neither, map creeps and even resources are more Warcraft while unit design especially Vanguard are more Starcraft, only thing with unit design that is W3 like is infestation mechanics of Infernals.

I wish you had also explained that infest ability. I know nothing about it still but I keep hearing about it. The gaunts also have something to do with it? I mostly played Coop which has no such ability.

I don't get the 12/12 mineral worker efficiency? I just tried it out... 12/12 = 600 minerals per minute 10/12 = 500 minerals per minute 8/12 = 400 minerals per minute 6/12 = 300 minerals per minute 4/12 = 200 minerals per minute 2/12 = 100 minerals per minute Seems like the curve is linear?

They're the folks who were making SC2 and had to stop. I see why they would want to keep making it, and I see why it has fewer factions until it has more factions. It's not rocket science, innit. :) I do wish they were a bit more forward looking or just showed some more awareness of what's happening outside the Blizzard RTS and the many improvements other RTS breeds such as Total Annihilation / Supreme Commander / Beyond All Reason or Sins of a Solar Empire have brought to the genre in terms of UX, application features and improvements that reduce the housekeeping mental load and let you focus on tactics and on strategy decisions instead. You know, the reason we want to play these games.

Stormgate is made by Frost Giant, not Blitzzard. Frost Giant is mostly made up of ex-Blizzard developers.

Because it's not. I've seen people complain it's too close to wc3 and not starcraft-y enough. It's an ex-blizzard rts, and it takes a lot of influence from both of their major rts franchises

fuck no, it hard to figure out wtf is going on they would never to update the game for years just to keep it going. the map is a joke, its like someone ate paint and threw up on the ground..smear it around and there goes ur land. thats too generous cuz at least u would have texture. its soo flat with the most random bush, rock, tree, cliff. they need to like increase the model size of some the units or maybe everything in general. some units are soo small u barely can tell what color they are other than brown. im a big fight u still go, "wtf is attack what"
