Another excellent video. The 2 Lps produced In the 1990s "captain of my ship" & "our rights" produced by the legendary Jah Shaka are killer LPs too.

@@ReggaeAppreciationSociety Jah Shaka has really represented some of the original foundation artists such as Gregory Issacs, Max Romeo, Icho Candy to name but afew. There is an unreleased tune by Max Romeo called "Rome", this was produced by Shaka in Jamaica backed by the Firehouse Crew. The tune Rome by Max Romeo is on KZbin....killer tune

Always loved Max Romeo’s seminal War Ina Babylon album. Every track had something to say to me. Something meaningful to add to the background of black people’s struggle for justice. I recall in 2016 spending £30 to help finance one of his albums on Kickstarter. It was not very good in my opinion as the spark was gone.

It is wild that even recently Max Romeo still has his voice and can perform very well. A lot artists his age don't have it anymore but he still sounds very similar to when he was young.

I wish we could go back in time, when a slightly spicey song was enough, to annoy the establishment. Nowadays over sexualised and over the top violence crap should have never been promoted. Besides the whole "War ina Babylon" Album, "Open The Iron Gate" is a banger, especially "Valley of Yehosephat", a true gem de one deh

This is a photo of late producer Sir Coxsone Dodd. A Pic of Max Romeo would've been more befitting. And I honestly think the critics were harsh on some of the post War ina Babylon albums.. Reconstruction was fantastic in my opinion and almost flawless while Holding out My Love To You was a real gem, boasting tracks like Voice of the Nazarene and Bell the Cat... Magnificent numbers, to name a few....

This video is 11 minutes and 13 seconds long. How could it tell the story of one of Jamaica’s most talented and legendary artists, Max Romeo? How much can we learn in 11 minutes and 13 seconds? This is more of an insult to the big man.
@surunitemiakanni-oye4346 Жыл бұрын
How much can we learn in 11 minutes and 13 seconds? =========== This is one man’s take of a musical history. You are then free to pick up the baton from there. The Universal Teacher - Google - is there to fill in the blanks. Ask Google. Then you shall know!
