Lol! I’m just sitting her laughing because I’m working on my boundaries. It’s also funny how God will end things when he knows I shouldn’t be talking on the phone so late. One night I was talking to the guy who’s courting me and all of a sudden the phone call is cut short and I notice my internet dropped out. 😂 What do I do? Call the person back and talk longer then set a boundary an hr later saying I need to get to bed and he’s like yeah I need to go to bed to.

My husband and I started as really, really good friends in college-neither of us planning on getting involved with ANYone, much less each other. So really, we were surprised by love. And I’ve told many people since then that, in retrospect, it was the perfect way to fall in love. Too often people fall into lust and figure out too late that it’s not enough. Just to answer your last question, when I prayed years ago for my husband who I'm still praying for, I always pray that he'll be my best friend. Like I can't imagine it any other way. It has been and is a heart's desire. I just also want to say that I really love your story and how you transitioned to officially being a couple. it's really encouraging because I've gone through something similar with someone special to me. I've met someone I call my best friend. What we share I have never experienced before with anyone and it's amazing when I think of it. It's nothing forced, it's a natural deep connection that I experience and this is coming from someone who is not so free with people. It takes me long to let people in but with this guy, it's so effortless and it comes with great peace as well. Before I graduated from university and moved to a far place, we would constantly meet up and hang out as friends but things would get heated for us. We had many moments when we'd kiss, but when we'd talk, he'd tell me we are just friends and that he didn't feel anything for me but all these things that friends can't do because they only friends were happening🤦. It was so hard, confusing and disturbing because I had already fallen for him and yet he seemed slow. Sometimes I felt like I was the one pushing for it rather than him pursuing me and I hated the whole experience. He also struggled with boundaries. We set boundaries but it was impossible But it's nice to hear your husband's point of view on what was going on in him during the time before he felt the release. I've prayed about it over and over, even asking God to help me move on if it's not His will, but everything seems to be pointing towards him. So I'm a place where I've just chosen to keep waiting for the right time when we are both really ready. I pray that we'll get married someday soon and one of the reasons is that for me he's my best friend and I'd want to spend the rest of my life with him.

Thanks for being another example of Christian relationships and pure love. We need more. This is the first video I've watched. New subbie. ❤ Hopefully my husband is on his way AND I am ready for him. I've been working with God to heal my heart and I feel 99% ready. I also need to get even closer to Him to hear His voice better. I need to trust him more to know that He will provide, with me being obedient to Him. I also have to go other places besides home, work and school (which I work at my school so I see the same 10 people in addition to my professors. And no, there are no candidates there lol.) Btw, thanks for sharing your beautiful testimony. I believe spouses should be besties but it doesn't have to be a best friend build up per se. There's a Christian couple, Sonserae and Patrick Hagan who met and married within 28 DAYS (I know!) They've been married for over 6 years and are expecting their first. And I think they consider each other best friends, even though it unfolded so quickly. 😊

I feel like I'm sooooo late watching this but this is actually an amazing story of how you both grew together while hearing from God and obeying God. The girlfriend proposal with the roses was out of this world romantic and well thought through. In regards to being best friends with your spouse, I think that having your best friend as a spouse is one of the best gifts one can ever possess in this life! some people don't view it that way but I think that usually means that they haven't chosen to be with someone that they can trust with their entire world. They may love that person but they can't trust them with their emotions, their thoughts, their whole heart etc. And it could be just their own ignorance due to their own perception aswell. But being married to your best friend gives you "peace in your soul." And so many relationships lack this because they didn't marry their best friend, and on top of that, they married out of the will of God. So Who they end up marrying is their "unequally yoked acquaintance" lol
