big time mega church preacher Joel Osteen refused to help people during a massive flood and mattress mack (jim Macingvale or something like that is his real name) let a bunch of people into his massive store to take refuge. Really quite a difference in character between those two.

With all due respect, Dutch, there must be crack in that cigar if you think Bret Hart was not an all time great in the ring 🤨
@jasonh5547
@jasonh5547 Жыл бұрын
Brett had great ring psychology and probably was near the top of wrestlers who could tell a story in the ring with his wrestling skills. The problem is that unlike Hogan, Flair, Rock, Austin, Macho Man, etc. there was something missing that those wrestlers had. Maybe it was the level of charisma although Brett did have charisma. Or it could be that those wrestlers were larger than life for lack of a better term whereas Brett focused on in ring work.

@@jasonh5547 Hogan was a walking talking freak of nature. That is what Bret Lacked. His promos were never as bad as people claim. He just wasn't a top tier promo but neither was Shawn in my opinion... losing his smile and acting like a 12 year old. What made Bret great is how believable he was and he came off as real unlike Hogan with punch punch what you gonna do brother leg drop. It is the one thing me and Shawn agree on. Hogan's leg drop was just so "devastating" sarcasm
@jasonh5547
@jasonh5547 Жыл бұрын
@@BeeBumper One could argue that even thirty-five years ago when a super plex and other moves taken for granted today was considered a bona fide finishing move that the leg drop was sort of underwhelming. Which is ironic since Hogan was booked as very dominant. I never felt his finishing move matched his dominant booking.

@@jasonh5547I wish they would have had him use his finisher he used in Japan. The Axe-Bomber. It's still only a standing strike/lariet but at least dudes can sell it like death. Do the super bump flip if they are light enough or the standing k.o. lights out topple for a bigger guy Instead of just flopping around / kick your legs like you just threw your baba on the floor. shameful for any champion to get the scarlet letter so to speak with one of those standing to ground moves. if you're not off the top ala macho then just don't do it. Looks so much stronger simply not to Much like the peoples elbow it just looks like a bit of a joke.
