Welp, after decades of denying myself a KA stand mixer, I finally ordered one. It is new (sorry but I wanted this color) -- But finding your website and videos gave me the added reassurance that if it breaks I will not need to deal with the KitchenAid customer service folks. I also ordered the spring/washer and everdime so I can maybe prevent some of the problems I read about. I am now crossing my fingers hoping it works on arrival. Dream come true. Thanks for doing what you do.

So what colour did you get?

I found your channel after several years (off and on) of looking for a local small appliance place to service my kitchenaid pro mixer. I bought it refurbished from Amazon and it never sounded right. It worked until the speed control died. So, after a long drawn out process ( called procrastination when you are clueless). We finally fixed the mixer, running the show step by step, repeat, etc. It runs better than when I got it. And the only tool I needed was that plier thingy. 😂 i decided to shop from you as payment for your shows. It came really quickly. Thanks.

So glad I found this channel! I started making bread rolls after years of having this mixer being a fancy decorating piece on my counter like a status symbol 😆😅. The mixer smelled hot. Apparently 6 cups of flour is too much and turning the speed to high wasn't helpful either, hearing now not to go past 2. The dime test was great as it showed that I screwed the screw too tight. For years my mixer was bee-bopping on the counter and that slider pin kept popping out causing a lot of aggravation. I am wondering why KitchenAid does not put these machines together better since these problems started at day 1. And those little silicone feet at the base to keep it from sliding around? Would a silicone baking mat not solve that problem? But the best part, I live so close I could just drop my kitchenAid off if needed instead of shipping it and risking shipping damage.

I love my Pro 600 and the fact I can easily get replacement parts is a great reason why! Is it as powerful as an Ank or Bosch for mixing bread? No, but it is still a great mixer for most things. I have no problem kneading 2 loaves of bread with it

Yea repairability goes a long way in my books. It's the only reason we have a business doing what we do.

King Arthur was also selling the new GE stand mixer, however I did not see it last time I visited their website. I wonder if they still use Kitchenaids in their bakery?.
@robertknight4672Ай бұрын
I really only use King Arthur's website for recipes. I'm one of the few Americans that likes to weigh their ingredients and King Arthur automatically includes the metric measurements alongside standard U.S. measurements in their recipes.

@@robertknight4672 Same here, but it's fun to see what they offer.

I have a kitchen aid mixer and a Ank. They are both amazing machines I just use them for different purposes. My kitchen aid is more for regular family stuff and the ank is for breads and large batches of anything. With the kitchen aid I can do a double batch of cookies. With the ank I can do 6 batches at a time.

EDISON MOTORS; Chace Barber and a team of truck drivers & engineers built the first diesel electric SEMI in a tent in a backyard in B.C. Canada; when I say "tent" I am meaning "quanset hut". Edison Motors mantra is also to have the end user to have the ability to obtain "off the shelf parts''. The parts used have been used in the industry since trucking got started. No custom turn signal levers; off the shelf parts; $20.00 - $100.00. The axles under the truck are E axles; electric axles and Edison also put their batteries on airbags in TOPSY; the "test mule; "CARL" the batteries are bolted rigid to the frame to abuse the crap out of them; these two trucks were built for the logging industry.

I've seen a few people start to knead the dough in the KitchenAid and then just finish it by hand. Kneading bread dough is fun. Just use King Arthur for the recipes since then one of the few turn off for metric measurements for those of us that like to weigh our ingredients. How recently made a King Arthur oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe with help from a k5SS KitchenAid.

???Question?? Have a professional 600 lower gear on center shaft all other gears were good but still ever once in a while it kinda makes noise. Could it be center planetary shaft? Not sure by looking it might be ever so slightly off . Could that tiny bit cause center and worm gear to jump?? It's driving me crazy hand turning or slow not noisy. Faster definitely kinda grind noise??

Off topic, but hoping to get your attention... Just picked up a mixer I bought through a local online auction. I have been trying to determine the age of the mixer. You posted a video on TikTok on this topic a couple years ago, "How to Date Your Mixer," but my serial number doesn't follow the format you explained. It starts with "W24" (I don't want to share the full number publicly.) Does this mean they have stopped using the letter system for years and are simply putting the date, i.e., 24 = 2024? P.S. In case it matters, it is model KSM155GBCAO(or 0). Thanks!

Why is my kitchen aid mixer making a humming sound when I plug it in please
@RickMahoney2013Ай бұрын
Why would you need a commercial mixer at home for everyday use that is way overkill. We all know the Kitchen Aid mixers last for years and years mine is 30 years old and still runs great .
