This is giving me nightmare flashbacks. I went on a date with a guy who spent all evening talking about how much money he made and how he bought a sea facing home etc etc. Then came time to pay. I politely offered to split. He didn’t hesitate. Made me split the bill equally when he had 3 more drinks than I did and ate 2 dishes exclusively (because he chose to order a meat I don’t eat!). Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse than him asking me to fork out 3K for having had a mimosa and 2 measly little veggie dumplings, he asked the waiter to bring him back the bill. Turns out he was in town for a work trip and was going to claim the whole bill as a company expense. Basically made money off the date. The dating pool is full of gutter snipes.

Oh this sounds so much like one date of mine. On the day of the first call he kept on yapping about he has two flats in bangalore and their costs, the rental income he earns from one of these, he bought a land just outside of bangalore and plans to have a resort there, bla bla bla.... then came the day of the date... after we were done with the food it was time to pay the bill. I asked if we can split he was like "no, no i will" then surprise surprise his card was declined. TWICE !!! well i paid the bill, i have some self respect !!! 😅 he said sorry and that hes gonna gpay me but guess what it has been 3 months, i have not seen that money till now.. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Yea just the audacity with which they think they can buy sex or some form of physical contact by forcing their way into our lives with money. I once drove around with a guy for a smoke and he kept hinting at wanting something. That’s when I decided to just cut it short and told him bluntly that it’s not going to happen. I don’t know what I said but I was totally direct. And he wouldn’t stop trying. I had to tell him again and again. And then we were quiet and I realised the whole meeting was for only one purpose so it was clear the meeting had to end. I don’t hate a guy feeling attracted to soemone and trying his luck but not taking no for an answer is just horrible entitled behaviour. It goes both ways right. Girls should also seek consent. I’ve known girls who think it’s okay to molest a guy if they want sex without confirming whether the guy likes her back or not. This presumptuous behaviour is just more in men. But I have to say I’ve experienced men who totally respect if you refuse a sexual advance and are secure enough to continue being friends. Love such men who can see women as just human beings.

Then I got a therapist and she said to me "why does it sound like you keep putting the needs of these men you barely know ahead of your own?
