That statement about authenticity was precious.

Wow, that guy with a cap is a 4 for sure. I can feel the emotional turbulence inside of him, lol! I’m also a 4, & yes this Enneagram type is full of the feels. I don’t know what’s wrong. Sometimes I ask myself, is it my feelings, or other people’s feelings that I absorbed. Lol. & I also sing, but I can’t play any instruments, so I justify that with ‘it’s okay, I bring the voice & the feels’, without the emotions, the perfomance is dead..ermm.

True, the emotions bring the art of the performance.

@Lo The Kitty - I can so relate to absorbing the feelings of other's. I mistake them as my own too. I also absorb blame and guilt. When someone yells at another person, my first reaction is guilt. It's as if I'm ashamed on their behalf.

I'm a 4 and was a drummer for 30 years. I loved to feel what different people in the room were feeling as I played : ) It didn't even matter if they weren't paying attention to the music, sometimes it was guys playing pool. I experienced myself as in their background, it was soothing, as one example. It still happens everywhere, in the store, in public. I wouldn't change if I could.

So fours can relate to others but others have problems relating to fours.

Yes a great example of this is Shakespeare, who's work will probably go on forever, being studied and performed. He could not only write from the point of view of so many personalities and characters, but also appeal to so many. He wrote for everyone to enjoy, from the "low" to the "high."

Love the part "Describe to me what you think post-partum desperssion might feel like and they will have an idea".... because in my head I'm finishing that with "they have been dying for someone to ask them that!!!"

In fact, she can't really write much because she has to go into and be/feel each emotion when she writes so that it comes thru as raw and authentic...it is tough to watch her write about a sad story with loss involved.
