I have been blessed by this msg. Thanks Pr Asscherick. Its Sabbath after in St Lucia Feb 5, 2022. The 8 points under "Things you can't change" and "Things you can change" I wrote them down on a piece of paper, cut each word up and I ask my two teenage children (18 & 19) to arrange them in the right order under the two headings wherever they think each one goes. Quiz Time.

Excellent message about Jesus' parable of the sower, the seed, and the soil; So true about the power of our thoughts and words. Proverbs 23:7 - "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.." And Jesus Himself said in Matthew 15: 18-20 That which comes out of the mouth (words) defile a man or create a bad character. Our words, evil or good, have the power to change and influence us and others...to create positive and negative outcomes we never imagined. Looking forward to the rest of the series, David!

Thank you Pastor, I plan to watch this again, and take notes. I am a HS Counselor and I felt I could use this study with a student to bring the child, food for thought. I like so much of this lesson…I wish there was a transcript to download, but notes will do. Pray for my student and I as I bring this good news. Pray 🙏🏽 I will present it in a way that it will prick the heart and open the ears of this child and ease the pain in the heart 💔 May God bless you and yours from Arkansas

I got so intrigued about that list of 50 books David recommended to his sons that I ended up dreaming some madness last night with David sharing the list through insta DMs. You know to movie Toys? Yh, that was one of his recommendations, and I ended up kinda happy that I only wanted to read a handful of the books he recommended 😆 But fr tho, I need that list🤓

I'm on a mission to track down that list of 50. If I find it, I'll be back here with a link or something. Update (two months later): I haven't found anything except Landon's list. I've sent David a DM, but have yet to hear from him.

@@AmandaMOrozco I did see that, however I noted that it's "Landon's Tiered Book List", and does not include some of the books that DA mentioned.

Lacking truth and perspective ; politeness and the righteousness of this world is the last bastion of resistance of the rich church to preaching the gospel onto the poor. As they shun the unclean masses. If only the slaves would be polite and no their place, if only the indians would go die politely their wouldn't be a problem. Just a convenient way for churches to be offended. What was Jesus attitude when he cast out the money changers, or Paul when he and barnabbas rent their clothes it is the rich and powerful who say emotions don't effect them like lamentation, emotions just show how weak you are and are not for public consumption. I think it is more from an attitude of not wanting to deal with unpleasantness, i understand the faith and patience of the saints i just think you unwittingly justify the position of their oppressors. Like when the man heckled king David only the church doesn't want to hear and uses politeness and uncleaness to cover its eyes and stop up their ears. I wonder how many poor people as you've said yourself "routinely waste money"? Are you sure you aren't justifying your own inattention and inaction and so you preach. Like Nazi guards the church makes sure nothing unclean enters (THEY DO CALL MEN UNCLEAN) they know your premise well and use it against any who would enter. If the oppressed would just be quite the church can continue to ignore, they can call the stranger or poor illegal or dysfunctional and pat themselves on the back on how well they coexisted with the evil of the world around them. Be well with the Lord ijna

I heard an Adventist peacher say the church always prays for carpeting in their jail cell instead of preying to be free, storyline seems like a master class in interior design.
