@@words007 You clearly never understood my statement. The main reason for my comment is that the main character SHOULD have made any means necessary to at least understand the document that he is about to sign because anything can happen and there is no telling what he is betting in that signed paper works. By knowing the contents, at least he would have time to doubt it or prepare himself for the upcoming events. Yes he is at the mercy of time but at least he could have steeled his will. Plus he got extremely lucky with the diamonds, but what if he didn't? would him dying help his mother at death's door? And what guarantee would the other guy has when he said that he will take care of his mother, the same guy who put him there without his knowledge in the first place? Him being broke and his mother dying in front of him is not the issue of my comment here, but the downside of his part just signing away without any knowledge on what he is getting.

Ends up a lie since his friend is on the same ship. Good anime. I will need to watch this but as always they cut a lot from the Manga and anime so probably really difficult to understand. His friend didn't sell him out, they would be free but owe money and be forced to play the game again, I'm sure they didn't want to do that over again. He did say he would take the money, pay the loans and look after his mother, I can't blame him especially since the other said he WANTS to get eliminated since there is a spare card left.... How can you really blame his friend for taking the route YOU wanted? You placed yourself to be eliminated and expected him to buy you out and then what? Get killed?. That part didn't make sense to me. His friend is dumb, but trustworthy, he felt so bad he ending up going to play the game to get his house back and save his mother without knowing that he was there, he made a mistake and manned up to take responsibility. He did lie his ass to place the debt to him in the beginning because he was scared, but at the end he decided willingly, debt free, to still go there and pay off for his friend. Throughout the video you can see they somewhat made amends to team up and congratulate each other, but when you handicap the gamble, you expect both of them to buy you out when the whole purpose was to clear debt and help his own mother... Very hard, you know they wouldn't want to do that again and probably ended up getting killed so yea, his friend was right to clear the debt and promise him to save his mom and buyback the apartment.

@prettyevil6662000 Жыл бұрын
"He felt so bad-" About what? What did he feel bad about? Put it into words. The house wasn't magically lost. The 'friend' manipulated and conned his friend and when he couldn't finish paying off his debt (the loanshark clearly said the house only covered a portion of it) he went to play the game. For himself. To get his own debts fully cleared. He then sold his friend to the same people. So the friend felt so bad for being a conman that he sold his friend's very life to the loansharks too. Do you even know what 'feeling bad' means? Because selling your friend to be killed is not evidence of it. The conman was in the wrong every step of the way and had he not dragged Kaiji into it, he would have been killed after the first round of games.

Yeah, they could have pull a twist of their own creativity on the death game to make it less obvious that they are copying Kaiji's game instead of copy n' paste 100% the whole plot of the game.

People at Japan already have a live adaptation of kaiji movie ( that was made way before Animal World was even made i think ), If you haven't watch the movie yet.

The anime sure, since they make the main character not a complete idiot. But the movie is bad - the writing and the reason for the debt is so bullshit, I had to stop it.

It’s like that one anime about the prestigious school that bets on everything and that one girl who’s really good at it; except with one one game from the anime.

How many people are going to say the same shit before actually learning this movie is an adaption. I don't even know about the manga and it took 5 min to figure that out.

So it’s squid game with *slightly* less scary stakes, and clown hallucinations. Eh, sounds about right.
@barakaafrobama65192 жыл бұрын
Woulda just been better if it was about the Super Clown killing monsters for the whole movie.

i did notice this was Kaiji until 4min. chine still produces cheep knock offs. Kaiji was product of Japanese's recession and reflection of desperate youth .sometimes even in comic books themes matter
