Same, I'm game ending the moment they get near, sheesh!! Coming from me, that's an unheard of thing. I have many diseases, 1 is 4/ 1m in rarity, I have a LOT of pain. I'm even on fentanyl, max dosage due to them but nope, never considered ending myself, lol. 17 different meds, lost ability to walk, since 1 disease causes muscle loss (exercise only speeds it up) what one woman told me is like 10 times period pain but in all muscles, so dang, lol. Despite all this, I never want pity and try not to show weakness until my legs & back give out, causing me to crash & need to be picked up hahaha.Then I can't help but look weak 😶 This or Crossed and I'm outta here fast. Gonna save 1 bullet for myself (my stepdad left 36 guns and thousands of rounds to me after he passed in 2020 from cancer. So I'd fight off as many as possible, but if I somehow ran low on ammo, boom, I'm done. Not gonna become some super sadistic person. I mean dang, read Crossed & you'll see why. Messed up virus, I mean DANG. I started reading that due to comments here. The only thing better about the Crossed infection is the nearly immediate manifestation of that signature red cross on the face. I see that, I'm shooting without any hesitation regardless of age. I've 36 guns & thousands of rounds (stepdad loved guns, but never hurt anyone). I collect swords and such, but slicing them at such close range would get blood on me, & there's NO WAY I'm letting it take over. So I'd just shoot myself if any fluids touched me since I'd become a crazed nut job worse than anyone in history if I lived through that extremely short incubation period.

I think the most terrifying thing about infected people in this movie is that logically, the virus or disease still keeps the souls of humans that it affects. It doesn't seem to kill. If you look at other movies and series about zombies there's usually a death moment for the living, usually shown in such excruciating manner, and then it becomes a dead body, but then the dead body comes back to life as the undead. So there is some phases. However, this movie depicts it differently, they just changed without cue. Some even can be manipulative enough to hide their transformation just like during the end. Like Dr. Wang, Jim, and even Kat herself (I said "even" because it is quite obviously implied that she might be immune). Also, other materials usually portray strong people that are infected to be a more dangerous zombie because they are usually bigger, enhanced to be stronger, probably runs faster as well. But still, they're not any wicked than the rest. From what we saw in this movie, that is simply not the case, because intelligence remains. Therefore hear me out, imagine a professional army veterans, or John-Wick-type-of-a-guy becomes infected, can you imagine how vicious he would be? Although if he was naturally kind, but forced to be trapped, inside a physical body that no longer knows anything but violence? The world would literally be a living hell. The limit of cruelty and brutality won't even be enough to describe it, as people would be as despicable as actual devils. Pretty thought provoking I'd say. Make you think if violence is truly rooted in our primal instinct even as modern humans. Now I'm wondering why this movie hasn't get the level of recognition to the alikes of "Train To Busan", for example. Because among other projects with similar ideas, I think this concept is definitely fresher. Albeit darker too.

As a local where this was filmed, I actually knew a couple of extras on set. Also had mutual friends with the director, etc. The director confirmed that he was influenced by the comic series "Crossed", which is pretty much this fucked up virus that makes people do extreme stuff like this while feeling pleasure from it. It feels to me this film is partially inspired by _The Fog_ by James Herbert. Instead of a virus, it's an underground, unknown fog which causes the insanity, but it does the exact same thing, including how the victims feel. Also, the scene where the man is being battered by baseball bats whilst tied up, yet enjoy it all, is a scene straight out of the book. There are enough differences between the two, so it's its own story, but fans of this may want to read _The Fog_ as well.

It's more apparently inspired by a brutal comic series by Garth Ennis titled Crossed (and the director even confirms this in an interview) in which a virus spreads that makes those infected brutally torture, rape, kill, violate (etc...) anyone and everyone. The film is basically an adaptation of the comic in everything but the name (one difference being the "crossed" have the telltale symptom of a cross-shaped rash on their face, while this film chose blackened eyes)

I guess I just remember the school scene especially in The Fog, where all the children were smashing the PE teacher with bats, rackets and other weapons, and all the while the teacher was physically getting off of it - that scene from the book stuck with me as rather grotesque. The way the infected or portrayed is actually similar to an American comic called the crossed. The concept of these types of infected are terrifying because they basically embody the absolute worst aspects of humanity with no filter or self-control.

The soldiers on the roof however did think she was infected and shot her. Some theorize she was immune because she was a psychopath. The most interesting character in this movie is the Doctor who even without being infected is able to justify his horrible deeds. Its a little like the stories you hear of Nazis experiments on people they felt were 'sub-human'... I.e. historic reality.

Bro same, the zombies in this movie are still somewhat conscious but can only fill there darkest desires uncontrollably, r4pe , k1lling, self mutilation, suidc1de and there's a scene where the guy passes on the road(you only see it for a second but honestly this mess me up tbh) you can see a empty baby stroller with the very little remains of what was left from a baby. The way this movie sets up tense scenes as well makes it 100 times scarier.

I watched this Taiwan movie before, this is actually a creative thinking of changing the thought of zombies. Instead of making a movie with people just running like crazy manic and making extremely horrific noises, they made it into people who actually finds other ways to kill people. This is a great movie but if you are someone who has extremely bad blood phobia or terrified of porn of sexual stuff. I would recommend not to watch this movie, as it can contain a lot of these.

Her pupils grew a bit and she started drooling and sweating, when she left the building she was shot down after they realized she was infected. The docter said nobody has been immune yet, but some lasted longer without showing since of infection. He said almost all of them usually show signs of infection before 5 mins. She just happened to be one of those rare cases where it took longer to show infection. The recap guy missed some of the smaller details but yea if you watch the movie she was denfintly infected unfornatly. Definelty should watch the movie though, he missed alot more gruesome details and extra tidbits. It's honestly a really good film ngl.
