I went natural on accident as well, moved away from home so I had to big chop the relaxed hair I had left and then I found you and I felt inspired and that’s how I knew I could embrace it so if you hadn’t had to chop yours off and grow it out I don’t know if I’d continued with my journey! Aaaaah bless you. Everything for a reason! As you said it helped you develop a relationship with your hair, every kink an curl, what it likes and dislikes. I find natural hair intriguing and versatile. I never get bored with it. It's like it has its own mind a strong bold personality! I dyed my hair 1 time at age 18, I had my mom dye it with cheap blonde hair dye and I had a relaxer at the time also neither one of us knew what we were doing my hair broke off so bad I had to get my hair cut off into a very short afro I was so traumatized by this experience I never ever dyed my hair again...I'm 40 now and I'm very happy with my natural hair color

There are a few people in the comments section saying that they hope Joy-el gets over her COVID symptoms soon. At :40 seconds in the video, I heard her say that her side-effects were from the vaccine. Those are not nearly as serious as any side-effects from the disease itself and, ultimately, the disease will be kept at bay. Good for you for getting fully vaccinated, Joy-el, and thank-you for this enlightening video.

My hair fell out from relaxers and alopecia in 2010 I learned how to treat and rid of the alopecia and grow my hair length back. I have been natural ever since . Interesting how women go through different stages trying to figure out how to manage natural hair 😅

I had to cut all my hair just that short because I set in the wrong salon chair and they burnt all my think healthy hair and I never has my hair short like that ever but accept for when I was new born lol.. but that happened 3 years ago when I cut all my hair...so I think my hair is the same length as yours currently now... 🙂

I wonder about that conditioner you used. Some conditioners contain sodium hydroxide, which is relaxer. That, to me. Is misleading.

Not really. It is sometimes used in small amounts to balance Ph levels. They don't use anywhere near the amount that relaxers use in a conditioner.

Girl, scared of you, lol. I know what you talking about. I had bleach on my hair for 2 hours, fell asleep,. Brown, green hair, after I tried to dye the crazy blonde, white, red, color. Then it came out. Chunk by chunk,😂😂. No knowledge is dangerous!!!
