Love love love this video. It reminded me of a married couple that I saw in the supermarket the other day who were arguing, they were doing the childish "yes they are" "no they're not" back and forth for a good minute or so, so I hung around to see what they were arguing about and the man just said "EMILY, MERINGUES ARE NOT. HEALTHY."

i make it a priority to say/do shit in public (that seems weirder out of context) just slightly louder than the rest of the conversation, for the main purposes of being in someone else's eavesdrop story. that's how i get my adrenaline kicks

Back in college I had unknowingly become a well known instillation in the library. I only found out when I was shown a well known yikyak post (back when it was popular and unbanned at school) that simply said "shout out to that girl in the library who is always asleep". Not quite as dramatic as mark and Claire but it seems I was the last person to know.

Omg yes I have a story. In 2014, I went to Rome with my high school class for about a week, and all we did was walk around and visit all the Sights. About two years later, one of my classmates starts dating this guy, and one day, we're at a party. Eventually we start discussing the trips we went on with school. We get to the Rome trip, and we find out his class and our class were there at the same time. He pulls up his phone and goes through his photos and videos, aND IN ONE OF HIS PHOTOS of him in front of the Colosseum, you can see our class, and my classmate he is dating specifically, in the background strolling around. We're from the Netherlands. How did this happen.

I always tell this story of my first theatre experience, where I'm returning a shirt to the guy's change room and I knock on the door frame and announce, "Don't be naked I'm coming in" And one of the boys goes. "i wasn't nakedbut I am now." and as I walk in he rips off his pants. It's been my baseline story to explain how theatre really is to non-theatre friends. I found out last summer that that guy ALSO tells that story.

I once rode past a woman and her dog on my bike (I was on the bike, not the dog) and he started barking at me, so the woman goes "Shh!" and while biking away, I can hear her say to him, sounding quite upset, "We've talked about this" 10/10 would be barked at by this dog again

When a friend and I were walking around Dublin on a work lunch break, a man in a tan overcoat, talking on the phone, walked past us and all we heard of the conversation was one word: "...Dingleberry!" On a different day, while on lunch with the same friend, the two of us probably became someone else's weird encounter as the two of us were crying with laughter in the middle of the street outside our office because I had used the term "tummy funnies".

I've had this thought for a few years now that my ideal superpower would be to have this kind of sensor to when I've come across someone before. Not if I've met them per se. Just come across. Like I'd be at the grocery store and brush by some grandma and my superpower would go off and I'd know that she lent my mother a napkin when we were at Taco Bell in 1999.

So in college I met this girl through a friend my freshman year. At some point in the budding friendship over the next few years, I was going through old ballet photos of when I was little (like 4-6). The girl, who I'd only known for a few years now, remarks that she also did ballet as a child. We find out that we were both living in the same city at the time as kids, went to the same ballet studio, and I have a group picture with her, me, and other girls all in the same ballet production. So out of every none family member in my life, I've technically known (of) her the longest. This blew my mind and is still crazy to me today.

Amazing story. One of my favourite times I've been overheard was when several of my friends and I were on a bus home from our Dungeons and Dragons game. Now, it's fairly late at night, and the only other person on the bus is this old man who looks like the perfect caricature of the Irish Old Man, complete with tweed hat. So we're discussing the events of the game, and we get to the part where the demons showed up (as they do), and this old man gets up and moves two rows further away from us. I think he was scared, but he might just have been very disapproving.

Honestly I love the idea of being someone’s eavesdrop story & have some great conversations loudly in public. Me and my friend were talking about me turning 20 soon and the idea that you need to have a certain set of experiences during your ~teen years~ to look back on, and then that lead on to talking about drugs, and we were planning on smoking some weed sometime & discussing different perceptions & experiences of it. A great convo to have in the middle of a crowded bus. And then when we were getting off, some old guy turned to me and with a wise & knowing grin said “I wouldn’t do it if I were you.” I saw him chuckling to himself as the bus drove off. I like to think we made him think fondly back on the folly of his youth.

In this conversation they were just talking about the awful weather we were having and then one of them says to the other “do you prefer wellies or brollies?” (Keep in mind they are welsh and I find the accent very funny) “I think I prefer wellies (and then gave an explanation) and honestly it was so funny that me and my sister to this day will quote the conversation when it’s raining

While walking around Cardiff and the bay i saw people on their phone and i went up to them and stupidly asked if they were on Pokemon go. Some people said yes or no and some people ignored me sadly. It was a funny holiday and that would be funny if someone was to tell their family about me lolol. Also i love this story its so cute and funny as well.

Neither of us made any connections between the people or encounters until some point last year, when we finally started talking again and realised a lot of things. It might be cliché, but we've now ended up in a long term relationship, so y'know.
