A laser thermometer also helps tremendously when diagnosing a bad stove burner element. 👍👍

if you got a multimeter and access to the wires going to the element so will a ohm reading. but in my opinion if its not the switch thats bad its gotta be the element or wires going to it. should see i think 120v on those 2 wires while its called

Hey Lex, Glad you survived the hurricane! I’ll be watching the giant waves off the coast of the Granite State this Friday caused by Lee. And speaking of run capacitors; after servicing mostly commercial HVAC/R equipment for many years I think I can count on two hands the number of defective run capacitors I have changed. Must have been made tougher for commercial units.

Hey Lex i was working with my coworker about a year ago and we were doing an infinite switch. I started to take off the screws for the back panel and he goes why you taking em all off? Just remove the ones on the side of the infinite switch your taking off. So i always do that now on. Saves a lot of time just peeling it back and keeps it in place too!

Hey Lex, do you use HD Supply? If so, have you been having problems with the delivery times? My average wait time is 3 weeks!! Do you have any other recommendations for suppliers? Thanks

I have HD accounts at my properties, delivery times are definitely getting longer. Anywhere from a week to well over a month. I've been finding it much more reliable and hella cheaper to get stuff through Scamazon.

YES, HD supply has been a nightmare for a few years. We order on Amazon more than HD now days. Thank you so much for watching!

My right front eye gets hot like it’s on medium when it’s on the lowest setting (literally next to the off switch). Could this be my issue as well??

Yep. That's usually what it is. Needs a new range infinite switch.

so is it called and infinite switch because it has an infinite amount of settings of temperature? did the element ohm out with continuity? so if there is two legs of power proven by other elements heating up proper then it has to be the switch right? it cant be the connection from the element to the power because it does get warm, and not red. See I quit my maintenance job and started teaching middle/high school at a christian academy. Tell you the truth i'd fold the flap and swap wire for wire getting cuts.
