I own both a special edition Partitio as well as a Marine mechanical. Both are great watches for the price point. Love the history of the brand as well. Best part is that Stowa is only about 45 miles from my ancestral home of Leimersheim, Germany, so I feel an extra special connection. Thanks for the wonderful video.

It's true, you never see this one on KZbin, or at least I haven't and considering the amount of time I have "enjoyed wasting" ( love that sign you have ) I have never run across one. This is a good example of enjoying looking at and learning about a watch that I don't particularly love. And kudos as always for showing how the look can change on various strap options. Loved the brown one. You really are the only channel that provides that perspective. Sharp outfit today. Great review Xavier

Ya it’s a shame more don’t look at this as an option. But, at least now this video exists in the world. And thanks, I love my poster too. First thing I got when I moved into an apartment and it was worth it. I think straps are a very important aspect of a watch and potential ownership so I’m glad other people think similarly. Thanks both for the compliment and watching as always Michael! 🙏🏻

Really good, thorough review. Love the size, versatility, and the manual wind movement. As always your strap options were spot on, and thankfully no "strap gap!" Keep up the great work!

Great review very detailed. I have both the black partitio and a marine 36 both automatics and I love them. I have a 6.5 inch and they fit me well. I bought them both new and have no regrets. This is a great watch. I requested mine with a red tipped seconds hand like the one on the worn and wound special edition and stowa was nice enough to do this for my watch. Just a nod of color which looks great. Stowa provides great value and excellent service. Can't go wrong with them!

Thanks for watching. I agree the value is there, just for me personally I go through watches so often I don’t know what I will and won’t like so I’m always wary of the secondary market value. Glad you enjoy your Stowas! Love the marine 36 by the way, may have to get my hands on one at some point!

I am so glad you made a video on Stowa Partitio black. I was looking for one for a while now. Also I am dreaming of this watch and for that reason, it's also an excellent video. Thank you and keep up the great work!

The thing to go for with Stowa watches are their Limited Edition releases. They generally produce only about 100 of each, and those hold their value a lot better than the regular models

I like the brand a lot and think it offers one of the best values out there for the money. I haven’t pulled the trigger on one of their watches though. I like watches similar in size to this one, but I just wish they did 20mm lug width as 18mm starts to look a little thin on my wrist. I understand that the price is low because they don’t pay to have them in stores, but it makes me take pause before I buy say a 36mm Marine as I would rather try it on first.

Completely agree. I’d recommend taking a look at a more affordable watch that’s the same size before you shell out the money for it. Try the Casio efv 110d. Amazing watch for the money and it’s about 35mm with an 18mm lug.

@@hectorbanchs Thanks for the feedback. I have Seiko SARB 033 and 035 and those are fine on my wrist, so the Stowa would likely be fine. Do you feel the Marine wears at or a little bigger than 36mm?
@hectorbanchs
@hectorbanchs 3 жыл бұрын
@@ZachBie I think the marine 36 since it's all white dial actually wears a smidge bigger more like a 37-37.5 mm. But it is very well proportioned and wears very nice .

I love this watch so much, everything is perfect about it. But I want a watch that I can wear for my whole life. 50 meters WR sounds so bad for such a purpose, what do you think?
@theknightswatch
@theknightswatch Ай бұрын
@@lopezfielitz I think for most people 50 is fine. I’ve personally never taken a watch in the pool and don’t really understand why people would want to. Just take it off for the moment. Or leave it at home. For everyday normal wear, getting caught in the rain or washing hands, don’t see an issue with it!

An interesting aside are the changes that this watch model has seen over the years. My Partitio is about 5 years old. On mine there is no lume, but there are drilled lugs.
@theknightswatch

I probably would’ve preferred no lume. I assume the color temperatures would be better.

Any thoughts on this versus a Junghans Max Bill Handaufzug?
@theknightswatch
@theknightswatch Ай бұрын
Great comparison I haven’t thought of. Between the two I would say the Max bill wears better and look much more dressy. This one is almost a hybrid of a dress/ field feeling watch. Really can’t go wrong with either. If I had to buy one right now, it would probably be the Max bill. I love that ufo/ saucer type case shape
@Downloaded7
@Downloaded7 Ай бұрын
@@theknightswatch thanks for the reply! I’m personally torn. Just be clear: are you referring to the 34 mm or 38 mm Junghans? I prefer small watches, but I am concerned that the Junghans might just be a little too small at 34 and too large at 38 (I have a similar wrist to yours). Hence my interest in this at 37, even if the lugs are a little long.
@theknightswatch
@theknightswatch Ай бұрын
If you have a similar wrist size to me you can pretty much pull of either size. The 34mm will feel more vintage and dressy, if I had to buy one today it would be the 38. Extremely short lugs so it wears well .
