Dr. Scott Hahn is the best at explaining the Catholic Church and Catholic Faith that Jesus Christ Himself established here on earth for us. May Jesus Bless you and Kimberly, and may Mother Mary watch over you and your family.

I believe that Saints do not necessarily come from convents and monasteries. We have many Saints that came from the worst places of the world. We can not dismiss the power of God’s Will to transform siners and Sanctifying them for the sake of God’s Glory.

"we can't just go strolling into the Holy of Holy's and expect to kinda wave and greet the Lord God Almighty" great statement. This is the posture and attitude I find most prevalent among people when attending Mass. The utter lack of awareness of God in our midst.

@@tony1685 John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands. Then Jesus keeps going saying that he will give you the Holy Spirit to recognize the Truth if you keep his commands. It's interesting then later Judas asked why is he only showing Himself to the apostles to Believe and not to the whole world. Jesus replies that he gives his teachings to those he has chosen and if they believe in these teachings they will be able to share these teachings to the world. Commands doesn't mean Bible. Because the Bible was not written yet. Nor will it be put together for 300 years later. So what is Jesus talking about commands and teachings. Why were these commands and teachings only shown to the apostles and not to the world. Because of the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus said if you love me, keep my commands and he will send the Holy Spirit. Who took in the teachings and commands of Jesus, the apostles. Jesus didn't show the whole world his teachings. So when did the Holy Spirit come unto the apostles. On Pentecost the start of the first Church. What did the apostles do on Pentecost, explained the teachings and commands of Jesus. What happened 3000 converted, then what did the apostles do, baptize and celebrate the Eucharist. On that first day, the apostles forgave sins, baptize, confirmed the people into the Church, and then fed them the bread. Just as Jesus taught to the apostles. So just think about this way. Loving Jesus means following what the apostles taught. Because remember Jesus didn't give his teachings to the world he gave them to the chosen. So that the Holy Spirit would come down and help them send these teachings out to the world. If you don't follow the teachings of the apostles you don't love Jesus. Catholic Church is the one and only institution that on Pentecost Jesus gave his apostles the Holy Spirit to go out to the world. Bible has no part at all. Even if the Catholic Church didn't put together the Bible, Jesus teachings would still be guided by the Holy Spirit and spread out to the world by the Catholic Church.

This is a wonderful lecture. In regard to total depravity, as a protestant I was taught that this meant that there was no part of our being that was not affected by sin, not that we were wholly bad. I think, in this, they were perhaps reacting against scholasticism, which they thought taught that one could attain at least partially to a knowledge of God through intellect alone, untainted by error, although we needed God’s revelation to attain to the full truth.

Although released few weeks prior, the thought (plus algorithm) brought the idea of finally taking the plunge for this year's (2022) Halloween. To call and/or the rekindle to be holy is way a lot fun and redeeming than the world's scary and horror themes. Becoming holy is inversely proportional to fear, as turning out.
