Thanks for the great video! My wife gifted me a 6” lift kit from a different manufacturer and it didn’t come with spacers. I’m experiencing noise from the steering rack now and I believe it’s potentially due to the lack of spacers. My cart is a 2017 Club Car Precedent and overall is in great condition. Is there a part number for the steering rack spacers or can you tell me where I can buy them? Thank you again for a great video and any info you can provide!

Hi Ryan, We don't sell the steering rack spacers separately. You might me able to find something to substitute at your local hardware store or use a few washers. You just want to make sure the bolt can pass through. The ones we use are 8mm x 20mm long.

Thanks for the video. Question I have a RHOX lift kit on. When I did the alignment I noticed my front wheels measure 43 1/4 inches apart but my back wheels are only 40 1/2 inches apart is it normal for the front to be 3 inches wider than the back or do I tighten up the toe in feature?
@GolfCartInstructions Жыл бұрын
Lift kits can widen the front stance a little for more stability. Measure the toe of the front tires by measuring the center-to-center distance of the front of the front tires versus the center-to-center distance of the back of the front tires. The front measurement should be 1/8” shorter than the rear. If this measurement is not within range, adjust the tie rod ends.

My steering box has loose in it, can this be adjusted or tightened? Thanks for your help.
@GolfCartInstructions2 жыл бұрын
It depends on what is loose in it. If it is the ball joints in the tie rods attached to the Pitt arm, they can be replaced. If it's the actual rack that is loose than no. The rack will have to be replaced.

How can I adjust the steering on my club car onward 6 passanger cart to steer more easily?
@GolfCartInstructions Жыл бұрын
I would reach out to a Club Car dealer or other golf cart shop. It would all depend on the cause of the tight steering.

At 1/8" toe in its harder to turn the steering wheel while driving. At 1/8" toe out is much easier to steer. Is this normal? Can you comment on this? Thanks
@GolfCartInstructions4 жыл бұрын
Wheels should never be toed out. They should be a 1/8" toed in so the front of the tires are closer than the back of the tires. When you drive, the tires will straighten themselves out so they are centered. It sounds like there is something else at play causing it to be harder to steer.

@@GolfCartInstructions I greatly appreciate you taking the time to reply. Your explanation makes perfect sense. I'll take it into my local shop and have them take a look at it. Thanks again, great vid(s), super helpful!

@@mygt8a4re what ended up being your issue?
@mygt8a4re2 жыл бұрын
@@dooley6304 I researched how to do the front alignment properly and set it to 1/8 toe in. My tires are wearing evenly and I'm enjoying my cart. I've done a ton of things to my cart in the meantime and have learned a lot, including all new bushings which makes the biggest difference, front and rear!

Tie rods are the same, so why is there two part numbers (I believe the DS has left and right tie rods)?
@GolfCartInstructions5 жыл бұрын
Hi Annette, the two different part numbers refer to the direction of the thread on the inside of the tie rod end. Some tie rods are right thread and some left. They do not refer to the sides of the cart (driver/passenger). You just have to select the one that matches your tie rod.

Is there a link to these parts so I can make sure to get the correct ones?
@GolfCartInstructions5 жыл бұрын
Could you shoot me an email at rugged@rhox.us with your cart's SN? Also, let me know what parts you are interested in.
